Chapter 17~ Fixing the Mess pt.1

I stare out of the window from the helicopter. A sea of sand as far the eye can see. I was amaze on how there was nothing, but sand. I can feel the dry air with bits of sand scratching my skin.

I looked over Pixal who was flying the helicopter. Making sure I watch closely, to learn the basics. Pixal had her eyes glue in front of her as she tries to get there in time.

I quietly gasp to soon see a pool of lava around a pyramid. "Oh no." I just said getting nervous for the ninjas safety. Pixal just respond by increasing the speed of the helicopter.

We saw the ninjas at an entrance of a pyramid. Chained together, looking scared and worried. They were chanting something, but stop after seeing us. Pixal quickly drop a hook down. The ninjas quickly grabbed on escaping their grim fate.

Pixal lands the helicopter next to the ninjas vehicle. 'So that's the Land Bounty.' During our flight to the ninjas, Pixal was going on about the things she had made. The Land Bounty was all she could talk about. Pixal was proud of her achievement on building it.

I got of the helicopter and run up to the ninjas. I wrap my arms around Nya to see her in one piece.

"Whoa, y/n here? What did we missed?" Jay said confuse on my appearance.

"Wu decided to take her under his wing. After all, she once live at the monastery." Pixal said as she cuts the chains.

"So that means she's a ninja in training?" Jay said. I unwrap my arms from Nya.

"Hmm, not my choice of words but technically I am." I said, kicking the sand softly.

"That means we have a new member of the team." Cole said excitedly.

"So cool." Zane said as everyone was crowding me. Giving me a pat on back and ruffling my hair as they greet me into their team. I just smile, happily. Until I notice Lloyd sticking at the background. He had a smile on a face, but it looked forced.

"I don't want to cut this short, but a serpentine witch has raised an army and laying siege on Ninjago City." Pixal said.

"This is bad." Lloyd said looking at Jay.

I heard a groan coming from the ground. Kai was waking up. 'I literally forgot Kai was unconscious, there.', "Where am I? What happened?" Kai said.

Everyone was quickly ran up to him, happy that he was okay.
"Long-story short, the serpentine witch that stole you powers is attacking Ninjago City. We need to stop her and fast." Lloyd said.

"Ah- okay, but" Kai rubs his face. "-why does my face hurt?" Everyone stayed silent, not answering the question. Then they all went on saying, that they don't know. Pixal remove the last of the chain, freeing the ninja from each other.

"Here's the important thing, we're free again and ready for round two. Aspheera has no idea what she's in for now. " His little talk made me feel motivated, but I wasn't the only one everyone else too felt it. Lloyd raises his right arm in the air, we all follow along.
"NINJA GO!!!" Lloyd said.

We got in our vehicles and head to Ninjago City. I hitched a ride on the Land Bounty. The vehicle was spacious and had plenty of room to walk around.

I was in the back relaxing, until Lloyd walk up to me, nervously (?).

"Oh, hey Lloyd."

He sat right next. "Soooo, you're part of the team now, huh?" I nod my head. He stay silent for a few seconds, his cheeks were slightly red.
"Y/n, about the battle with the oni... Do- do remember what you said to me before passing out... on me?" I could see a glimmer of hope in his eyes. It made them shine even more than before.

I gave him a confuse stare. 'Did I even said anything to him? I didn't... right?' I shook my head, the glimmer of light disappeared.
"Really?! Are you sure?" He was anxious, and his hands shake slightly. 'This is getting annoying.'

"Look Lloyd, I don't remember a thing. If I said anything during that time, I probably over exaggerated or didn't meant it. You were kind of dead for a good minute and I was about to pass out. My feelings were all over the place." The more I rant off, the more his mood shifts. Lloyd refuse to make eye contact with me. I try and reach over to him but he just moves away from my touch.

"Lloyd, tell me what did I said."

"It was nothing important... apparently." Lloyd sadly, guilt ran through me, but Jay cuts me off.

"Get ready guys!! Where here in Ninjago City and it looks like someone need our help!" Lloyd got up and went to his station. He pull his mask on, before giving me glance back.

Lloyd Pov

'What was I expecting? Of course she would say that, but why am I not feeling relieved about this? I don't like her, well not like that. Yet somehow, I feel disappointed. Why aren't I feeling relieve about this.'

I glance back to meet y/n's eyes. I flinch as we made eye contact. 'No focus Lloyd. You got a job to do.'
I went to the front to see what exactly we're dealing with. 'This is going to be a long day.'

A/n

I know it's a short chapter, but I'm so tired and I need to do a lot of things. So I'm going to cut this short and try to make the other chapter longer than usual.
