Chapter 39

-Maddie's POV.

I waltzed into the tour bus, Niall close behind me, carrying the baby stuff.

"Thanks for the help Mads" he groaned hauling himself and the 7 bags and 5 boxes into the bus, it's fair to say we went a little crazy.

"Your welcome!" I grinned sitting down cross-legged on the sofa in the lounge area.

"What did you buy?" Lily squeaked, she's a sucker for babies.

"Everything" Niall grumbled.

"I'll show you in a second, I need a wee" I laughed at Niall's comment, I hauled myself of the sofa and speed walking to the teeny tiny bathroom, I finished my business and strolled casually back into the lounge with a hand rested on my bump.

"What's this do?" Harry asked.

"It's a breast pump love" I giggled, watching his expression as he put it straight back into the bag and wiped his hands on his chinos.

"And this?" Zayn asked.

"Er nipple cream" Louis smiled plaining, inspecting the bottle, he's surprisingly sensible with this sort of thing.

"Why do you need cream for your boobs?" Zayn questioned setting the tube down on the table.

"Apparently breast feeding makes your boobies sore" Niall told him, giving me a sympathetic look as I parked myself next to him, Zayn also nodded sympathetically.

"Baby girl Horan?" Liam grinned holding up a tiny pink bodysuit.

"Yep!" Niall smiled popping the P and placing his hand on my bump.

"AWE IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!" Paige and Lily squealed clapping their hands excitedly.

I giggled at their excited faces as the steamed through the bags of baby clothes, toys and shoes, I rested my head on Niall's shoulder, god I'm beat.

-Niall's POV

"Hey look at sleeping blondie over there" Liam cooed, I looked at Maddie sleeping on my shoulder, she's such a cute sleeper.

"Harry take your sock off" Louis whispered, Harry nodded and handed his stinking sock over, it finally dawned on me what they were doing.

"Touch the mother of my unborn child with that sock and I'll kill you" I whispered calmly, this obviously didn't deter them.

"Li tell them!" I spoke up, straightening my leg as a barrier.

"Come on guys sit down, that's not fair!" Liam raised his voice, one again they ignored shoving the stinking sock right in Maddie's face, she woke up instantly and burst into tears.

"Hey little lady what's wrong?" I soothed pulling her into a hug and shooting Harry and Louis with my eyes.

"Nothing my hormones are just all over the place and I'm tired!" she whined into my hoodie.

"Sowwy Maddie" Harry and Louis pouted pulling puppy dog faces.

"Well remind me when either of you two are growing another person in your uterus and I'll wake you up with a smelly sock, got it?" she snapped playfully wiping her eyes on her wrist.

"What's for tea?" I piped up, bottomless pit.

"I'm cooking, nesting instincts" she smiled hauling herself off the sofa and waddling into the kitchen, she's not even that big yet but the rest of her is so tiny, Paige and Lily followed close behind her.

"Do any of you know how to put up a Moses basket stand, playpen, crib, highchair and errr pushchair?" I questioned reading the receipt and looking around the circle hopefully.

Louis, Liam and Harry all shook their heads in response.

"I do" Zayn said simply, messing about on his phone.

"Really?!" I grinned.

"Yeah" he yawned, the ultrasound on the table caught my eye, I picked it up gently, that's my baby, MY baby, I made her, I'm half the reason she's alive, how strange is that. I wonder what she'll look like, what colour hair she'll have, if she's anything like Maddie she'll be gorgeous, well she'll be gorgeous anyway but you know what I mean. I slipped the photo into the window slot in my wallet along with the other photos, safe keeping and all you'know.

"Who you texting Lou?" Harry questioned.

"Nobody" Louis mumbled, turning his phone away from Harry in an obvious 'don't look I'm hiding something' way.

"JUST FUCK OFF HARRY ALRIGHT!" Louis snapped shoving Harry off of him and storming out.

"Niall, Maddie wants you in the kitchen" Paige smiled slipping into Zayn's lap, I nodded and plodded along the the kitchen, the smells coming for there were devine.

"What's cookin' good lookin'?" I winked playfully pinching Maddie's bum.

"You guys have steak, chips and peas, Paige has tofu salad and I've got monster munch, pickle and ice cubes!" she grinned turning around and planting a kiss on my lips.

"Still having weirdo cravings huh?" I asked hauling myself up onto the counter next to where Maddie was cooking.

"Yeah, it's a step up from gherkins dipped in nutella with a side order of peppercorns and onions" she fake gagged, she's had some pretty weird cravings but eating pure peppercorns was certainly the worst.

"Are you scared Maddie?" I asked flipping over the steaks which were sizzling nicely in the pan.

"About?" she questioned pulling the peas out of the fridge.

"Labour" I mumbled, regretting what I said instantly.

"Yeah really scared, but as long as your there holding my hand I think I'll be fine" she stammered, but in a positive way.

I pulled her into me, kissing her forehead before planting a big smacker on her belly.
