The Real World

The day was overcast
Just like the day in the book
The gloom was inevitable
In both the worlds.

There's someone behind me
I turn around and take a look
Turns out I'm alone
In the real world.

"Are you ok?" Asks my fictional friend
I reply in my mind that I am,
As if they're right there
In the real world.

"A call for you!" Says someone
I ask who is it to my fictional friend
"Can't you listen?!" My mom shakes me
And gives me the phone in the real world.

I teleport from the edge of the cliff
To the edge of my bed
Back in my room
In the real world.

"Watch out!" Exclaims my fictional friend
For now I am
Hanging on a cliffside
In the fantasy world.

"Who are you talking to?"
Asks my real friend
Real just because she exists
In the real world.

"Just...someone.." special..being
The word I left unspoken
For that's not how it works
In the real world.

My fictional friend saves me
For the 5th time since the book started
But this time, my fictional friend fell
And so did I, in the real world.

The gloom was inevitable afterall,
The fiction world lost one good person
In real world, one more good book was read completely.

Which world is which one now?
For neither is jubliant anymore...
