Jacob's POV:

I hurried over to my friends' table in the cafeteria and plopped down next to Dan.  I immediately took out my lunch and began eating, hoping that if I finished early I could ask around about that girl.

"What's on you mind?  Your being extremely quiet."  Samuel, who sat across from me, asked.

Samuel had always been one to notice things about people that no one else did, maybe he remembered her from somewhere.

"Hey, you know Selena, right?  Well do you know her friends' names?"  I asked, forgetting my sandwich on my napkin.

"Selena?  Yeah, to be honest she's kind of fake.  I don't think she has any friends, except you.  She has two sisters though, I think."  Samuel replied, "they're names are Georgie and Iris."

"Well did you see the girl in a white dress and cowgirl boots at the autumn dance?"  I asked, hoping I could figure out which one of Selena's sisters' the berate belonged to.

Samuel thought for moment.

"Yes, she was inly there for a few minutes, but her dress was amazing.  I think her name is Iris."  Samuel told me, staring into space as he recalled the memory.

"Do you know where she lives?"  I asked eagerly.

"Whoa, slow down, stalker, I barely remember her, let alone know where she lives."  Samuel answered, surprised.

"Sorry."  I mumbled, hanging my head.

He was right, I was over thinking this to much.  She would probably be by the lockers when school ended, I would just wait around for Selena to lead me to her.  Where is she, anyway?

Selena's POV:

She wants me to what?!

"What on earth do you think would make me lie for you?"  I whispered, narrowing my eyes at the woman who was unfortunately my mother.

"Because I'm your mother and you will do what I tell you to."  She answered sternly.

She stood straight and tall, piercing my eyes with her gaze.  I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, reminding myself that I was breaking from Mother's grasp and that I no longer needed to obey her.  I opened my eyes and glared back at my mother.

"No.  Now leave me alone before I scream to the whole room that you're trying to deceive me."  I answered firmly, not caring who heard.

"Keep your voice down."  Mother growled.

"No!"  I shouted, turning to find the judge, "your honour, my mother is trying to make me lifer her!"

I ran away from Mother, searching for Iris and Georgie.  I found Georgie and hid behind her.

"What's wrong?"  She whispered.

"Mother is trying to manipulate me into lying for her."  I explained quickly.

Georgie narrowed her eyes and scanned the room for Mother.

Did no one hear me call for help?  I looked around the room.  Everyone was going about their own business.

"How come no one heard me when I shouted?"  I asked Georgie.

"I'm not sure, but Mother isn't here."  Georgie replied.

Iris joined us from the bathroom and I explained everything that had just happened to her.  She thought we should tell our lawyer and Mr. Adam and Georgie agreed, but I was to scared and asked them not to.  They hesitated before agreeing to wait until the break was over to produce the new information behind the witness stand.
