Gally insisted. "Stay here. I don't want you to get hurt."
Brenda was resolute. "You won't stop me from seeking revenge. It's the only way to honor Jorge."
Gally looked troubled. "But—"
Frypan cut in, "Let her do what she needs to."
Thomas nodded. "Okay, let’s get ready. We have a long journey ahead."
Jacob questioned, "Do you think it’s going to be easy?"
"Wicked didn't attack this place without a plan," Jacob explained. "They didn’t kill your friends just for revenge.This is part of their larger scheme to take you back and make you under their control."
Thomas realized the complexity of the situation. "Going back to WICKED won’t be simple. We need to be careful."
"Every moment we waste here, innocent people will be more tortured !" Thomas argued.
Jacob replied grimly, "And every mistake could cost our friends dearly... Revenge isn’t the only goal, we must save those who’ve been kidnapped."
Minho asked, "So what’s the plan?"
Jacob took charge. "For now, we bury the dead, gather supplies, and return to the Left Arm. There, we can strategize. But we need a leader. Let me take that role. I’ll lead you in this fight against WICKED. Don’t forget, they took one of my friends too."
The boys exchanged glances. Gally finally agreed, "Okay, your way."
Jacob nodded, but Thomas's unease was evident. He didn't fully trust Jacob.
