Chapter 16 - Half-a-Tent

" Hurry, everything's getting wet!" Charlie yelled over the heavy rain fall. Yes, the rain had decided surprise us which resulted in having to end our camping trip early. We were all carrying a box, except for Dan, who was leaving a trail of several tent poles with the the netting already long gone in the mud. We all jogged to the car, just fast enough so that we wouldn't slip.
When we finally reached the empty parking lot, we unloaded the boxes and half-a-tent into the trunk. PJ, Dan, and I stumbled into the back seat of the car as an attempt to escape the dreaded rain that seemed to come everyday in England. We sat in the car for a minute before starting the car to warm up a bit. As I was rapidly rubbing my hands together and breathing warm air into them to warm them up, I realized I was still wearing PJ's jumper. The car started as I continued to think more about it. It was a big on me, with zig-zag designs and other shapes knitted into it. I did not prepare for cold weather, much less, rain on this camping trip at all, which made me even greater appreciate the PJ's generosity. I wish I could just curl up and hide inside it and go to sleep, blanketed with warmth. Alas, I could not, as there is no jumper in the world that could fit the love I have for PJ Liguroi. Although, I did begin to fall asleep as I leaned my head against the window with the blurred hum of conversation was mixed with rain gently beating against the window as we drove back to Charlie's apartment.
I woke up on a couch, not in Charlie's flat, but definitely one I had recognized from somewhere. I was in Dan and Phil's apartment, judging by the famous Dan Howell crumpled up area in the middle of couch where Dan would lay to mindlessly browse tumblr for hours.
I sat up slowly to find a note written on a piece of paper that was ripped out of a spiral notebook on the table. I picked it up and read.
Hey Kat, didn't want to wake you. If your wondering why your here, we thought we would take you to our flat at least until you woke up. Dan and I just went out to the shops for a bit to grab some stuff for dinner. Dan ate all our food.
You could stay if you'd like. Should be back soon,

On the bottom, there was a little picture of a lion sleeping on a couch with z's above it's head. There was a little scribbled arrow pointing to a wrinkled bit on the top of the couch. It said, " Dan's deformed neck here. " I smiled wider every time I re-read it. I folded up the note and put it in my pocket. What to do... I thought to myself, like I didn't know the answer already. I walked over to the T.V and picked up the Xbox controller.

Dan and Phil arrived shortly later. I must admit, Dan's weird neck thing in the couch was quite comfortable.
I insisted on making dinner, and did eventually, but of course both Dan and Phil tried to help, but failed horribly resulting in flour all over the floor and somehow a broken cooking pan. I didn't know they could break.

After we finished a gourmet Macaroni and Cheese and played some Halo, Dan drove me to my apartment.

"See you tomorrow maybe?" I said looking into the drivers seat of Dan's car from my dark porch and the end of the stairs.
" Sounds good! Goodnight!"
" Night!" I said as I began to walk up the stairs and unlock my apartment door.

As I sat down on my bed, already showered, I realized something. All night at Dan and Phils, I didn't think about, not even once. Does Phil remember what he said the other night in the tent? Before I could think about it too much, my thoughts were interrupted by several rapid, hard knocks on the door. I walked to the door, and when I opened it....it was Pj, with blood all over his face, and he was breathing hard. His once soft green eyes were now filled with a form of terror and fear I had never seen before. Suddenly, he fell to the floor.
