Chapter 1 - Out of Time

3rd Person POV

Jax and Brooklyn are wearing black cloaks with hoods over their heads

Brooklyn stands in the open doorway, looking out into the hallway and waiting

"I don't know how much I'm digging this outfit." Jax says

Brooklyn looks over to see him messing with his hood and smiles

She walks over to him

"You're too handsome to hide your face." Brooklyn says, pulling down his hood

"Same goes for you, beautiful." Jax says

Brooklyn looks down as Jax reaches for her hood

"What's wrong?" Jax asks her, stopping

Brooklyn looks up and kisses him

"Thank you." Brooklyn says. "Now, we've got a job to do."

Brooklyn turns back to the doorway, waiting for their cue. And from this team of legends, their cue is always fighting, gunshots, explosions, etc. They're never quiet

Outside, there's shots fired

"We're up." Brookly says

Jax and Brooklyn run into the hallway, fighting other people in the same cloaks as them

They turn the corner and see Mick get thrown to the ground, a man holding a gun to him

Jax kicks the guy in the back of the leg and hits him to the ground

"Where the hell's Sara?" Mick asks

The two shrug

Jax is thrown through a window

Brookyln kicks another man down

"Everyone back to the ship!" Rip yells through the comms

"That's easier said than done." Jax says, brushing glass off his jacket.

Jax and Brooklyn fight someone, until they turn a gun on the two

Jax grabs Brooklyn's arm and starts running away, pulling her along with him

"Gray, meet me on the north side of the house!" Jax yells through the comms

"It's actually a chateau." Stein replies. "What's your plan?"

The man shoots lasers around the two

"You'll see!" Jax answers

Jax pushes Brooklyn to the side and she falls to the ground behind the wall

Jax jumps off the balcony

Firestorm merges underneath the balcony

Lasers still fire around Brooklyn

Firestorm flies up and scoops up Brooklyn, flying away with her

Firestorm lands on the ground, putting Brooklyn down

Rip gives Firestorm a look

"What's going on? Who are you people?" Louis XIII asks

"I believe the Queen is waiting for you in her bedroom." Sara says, finally joining the group

"And I'll bet she's all warmed up for you." Firestorm says with a smile

"Shut your mouth, Jax, or I'll cut your eyes out and feed 'em to you." Sara threatens

"I believe our work here is done."

"Put another successful mission down in the books." Ray says as the crew walks through the hall of the waverider. "Where are we off to next?"
