It's been hours
Sara, Amaya, and Nate are still in the office
"Why would a speedster need to change reality?" Amaya asks
"Ohh. How many times are you gonna ask that question?" Sara whines
"Until we have an answer." Amaya says
"She's right." Nate says. "Speedsters can time travel. So what's stopping him from changing history even without the Spear?" He thinks for a second. "Unless he doesn't exist."
"Okay, so what, he's a ghost?" Sara asks
"What if he's a Temporal Aberration?" Nate says. "Just like..."
"Excuse me." Stein says, coming in. "Have any of you seen my daughter?"
"One second, Professor." Nate tries
"I'm sorry!" Stein exclaims. "This is quite urgent."
"Look, what if instead of creating a person like you did with Lily, our mystery speedster erased himself from history?" Nate suggests
"Why would he want to do that?" Amaya asks
"I don't know, but it would explain why we don't have any evidence of his existence." Nate says
"Okay, so, we just need to ID someone who doesn't exist?" Sara says
"Eobard Thawne." Stein says, staring into space
"Um, is... Is he okay?" Sara asks
"I'm fine." Stein says. "Eobard Thawne is a name. The name of a speedster who..."
"Who what?" Sara asks
"Thawne was erased from existence when his progenitor, Eddie Thawne, committed suicide in order to stop him." Stein says
"Which would explain why the Time Masters didn't have a file on him." Nate says.
"But if Thawne doesn't exist, then how?" Amaya asks
"He was protected from his ancestor's death because he was a member of the Speed Force." Stein says. "It's a little complicated."
"A little?" Sara says

"Guys, I think I just figured it out." Nate says. "Why a seemingly invincible speedster would need to take on partners."
"By all means, Dr. Heywood, please enlighten us." Stein says
"Okay." Nate says. "What if Thawne isn't just chasing us? What if he's running from something?"
"But running from what?" Amaya asks
"Time." Nate says
"Time takes time to harden." Sara says
"And if Thawne ceased to exist the moment his great-great-whatever killed himself, then, maybe, he has to keep moving in order for his own nonexistence not to catch up with him." Nate says. "Poof!"
"That doesn't even begin to make any kind of sense." Amaya says
"I don't know, it could work." Sara says. "Professor, what do you think?"
"Per the scientific method, there's only one way to prove it." Stein says. "You'd have to trap Thawne in one place and then see what happens."
"That's our plan then." Sara says

Sara walks down the hallway
She comes to a stop in the doorway of the medbay
She looks inside and sees Jax sitting there with Brooklyn
"How are you doing?" Sara asks, walking in and patting Jax's shoulder
"How do you think?" Jax asks, still looking at Brooklyn while Sara takes a seat across from Jax. "My girlfriend still won't wake up."
Sara sighs, looking to Brooklyn's vitals on the screen
"Tell me the truth." Jax says and Sara looks over. "Did Gideon put her in a coma?"
"Huh?" Sara asks
"Don't." Jax says. "Just tell me."
Sara looks down at Brooklyn
"Yes." Sara says
"Why wouldn't you tell me?" Jax asks
"I didn't want you to worry." Sara says
"I get that." Jax says. "But I need to know if something is going on with her. I'm her boyfriend, I think I've earned that right from her."
"You're right." Sara says. "Gideon did put her in a coma for now."
"Is there anything we can do to help her?" Jax asks
"No." Sara tells him. "Gideon will pull her out when she's a little better. All we can do now is wait."
