Finding Strength [Attack on Titan Fanfic]

• Chapter Three •

A light breeze ruffled Kira's brown hair as she stood on top of the wall and looked ahead. She looked at the destroyed buildings below on the other side of the wall. She stared at the few titans that were below them. Cut their necks off. She thought. She gently placed a hand on the pistons of her ODM gear. Then a hand gently pulled her away from the edge. Kira looked back and blinked as she saw Mikasa.

     "Let's stay away from the edge. We don't want you falling over if you faint." Mikasa said.

     Kira blinked before smiling and nodded. She went back to work, getting the ropes ready and setting up the things that were instructed. Why do I get this urge to just go and kill every titan I see... it feels so hollow and empty if I don't... get the urge to kill... She thought to herself before shaking her head softly to get rid of the thoughts. She looked over as she saw Armin and Eren and smiled as she saw them relaxed and calm. Everything... seems to be going well. She thought to herself in relief. She softly cleared her throat as it began to itch and she furrowed her eyebrows. She grabbed her canister of water and drank some of the water. She looked over blinking as Sasha pulled out a chunk of meat from her bag. Immediately everyone was intrigued.

     "Sasha! Where the hell did you get that from?! You're gonna be in so much trouble!" Eren said, teal eyes wide but deep down he knew he wanted to eat it. Considering all that they were being fed was bread and water along with some plain vegetables. Only time they would get meat would be if there was a special occasion which there was none at the moment.

     Sasha whined and huffed. "Oh come on! It won't hurt them that a piece of meat went missing! Just look at it! It's so juicy!" She boosted, her mouth beginning to water as she imagined digging her teeth into it. "Come on we can all share~" She purred and grinned.

"They don't call you potato girl for nothing." Jean huffed at her. "Haven't you learned anything from when Commander Keith made you run till the sun went down?!" He said and crossed his arms over his chest.

     "I like that idea." Connie said to Sasha, grinning. "Come on! Before they notice us not working!" He said and they began to walk towards her.

Kira blinked at them and shook her head before grunting and holding her ground as there was a large crash sending everyone to their knees, debris flying everywhere. She looked over before her eyes widened, pupils shrinking at the sight that unfolded. A titan's face right over the wall. It's face large and red muscle covering it, it's teeth white as snow and it's eyes caved into its face. And then there was another crash. She looked down a smaller titan crashed through the wall. It's eyes glowed from the smoke and it's body seemed to be armored in some type of way.

"No..." Kira whispered shakily and looked over at the others as titans began to spill through the large crater in the wall. Screams of horror filled the town that was below and everyone began to run for their lives.
