Finding Strength [Attack on Titan Fanfic]

• Chapter Ten •

    Kira snapped her eyes open to see Levi, holding onto her arms and crouched down in an awkward way. She sobbed harder and let go of her hair and held onto him. She stuffed her face into his chest, trembling in horror. Levi wrapped his arms around her and held her close. He softly grunted and shifted his weight off his injured leg. He unlocked the chains from her wrists and ankles. He looked back at Commander Erwin and Commander Hanji, his gray-blue eyes narrowed angrily.

     Commander Erwin looked at him, blue eyes unwavering. "Once you're done we have a meeting to attend to." He said. "Remember Levi. Don't let your relationships get in the way of your priorities."

     Commander Hanji blinked before huffing at him. She smacked Erwin's arm, frowning at him. "Get out of here." She said and pushed him away towards the door. She unlocked Eren's cell door and got him out. "Don't mind him, Levi. Take as much time as you need." She reassured before taking Eren and Erwin out of the cell quarters.

     Levi looked at Commander Hanji and gave a curt, grateful nod. He looked at Kira as she cried and stroked her hair, running his fingers through her brown locks. He kept her in his arms, letting her cry her heart out as much as she needed. After a while Kira calmed down to only sniffles and soft whimpers. He pressed a kiss to the top of her head, not letting go of her. He moved her head up and wiped her tear stained cheeks with his fingers.

     "You're okay, I'm here." He murmured, he gently rubbed her back before rubbing her side.

     Kira sniffled, hiccuping and gave a shaky nod. Her grip on him didn't loosen, it only tighten. She pressed her head to his chest, staring off to the side, giving soft sniffles as she listened to his heartbeat. His heartbeat relaxing her.

"I didn't want you to come here but after Commander Hanji had checked to see if you were healthy Erwin came in saying that for our safety it would be best if you were in here." Levi explained, rubbing her back.

Kira softly nodded, not caring just happy that she was with him again. She gripped him tighter. She took a deep breath. She sniffled and wiped her eyes and nose.

"I'm... I'm a titan..." She said faintly, eyes watering again.

Levi softly blinked before holding her closer, shaking his head softly. "That doesn't change anything." He murmured. "Let's not focus on that right now. Come on, let's get you out of here."

He got to his feet, pulling her up. He fixed her clothing. He took his coat off his shoulders and placed it on her. He rubbed her side gently and led her out of the cell. Kira held onto the coat and pressed into his side. She soflty blinked at Levi's limp as he walked. She softly frowned. He got hurt. She thought. Levi kept her close and walked her towards where he slept. He got her in the room and led her to the bed. He let her sit on the bed and grabbed the blanket. He took the coat off her and set it aside on the bed and wrapped the blanket around her.
