[WP] You wake up one day in a world where everything is the same, except karma in this world is always instant, for better or worse.

I woke up in clouds of gold and surrounded by strangely dressed people whispering among themselves. The only word I could pick up among their divine chatter was "re-incarnated"

How did it even come to this?

I woke up in my dim blue room as usual, curtains fully drawn, the calm and peaceful atmosphere propelled me into my morning routine. It was another lousy day.. Blah Blah Blah, skip forward a few minutes of breakfast and saying bye to Mom I walked to school and soon enough I see the one person I loathe the most, Jimmy. There he was in front of me, everything about him just incited my anger from his overwhelmingly ordinary name to the way he stole what was rightfully mine: My Girlfriend.

I stopped and called out to him

When he came close I stomped my foot on the front end of his skateboard and as Jimmy went flying into the stone pavement the hardwood skateboard jumped up and hit me smack dab in the face with such force it broke my nose. Blood dripped from my nose as I winced in pain, I kept trying to feel my nose to make sure it was still in working condition and happened to notice Jimmy with his broken and bleeding nose too.

"Dude... What the fuck, are you still mad about that?" He stood up and asked questioningly, hand on his bleeding nose.

But he didn't lift a finger on me.

His eyes simply went up and down, seemingly scanning me.

Jimmy took his skateboard, gave me one dirty look and left on his way. That was unusual, he would have sucker-punched me in the face that very moment. But he didn't.

"Did he just ignore me?"

My usual hate for him boiled and bubbled up, steaming more than usual and I groped my pockets searching for my can of insect spray. I knew it was cheap but it did the job.

I ran and tackled him to the ground and pinned him down, his face just inches from mine. We wrestled for control until I whipped out the can and sprayed it into his mouth and eyes, spraying so much. I sprayed and sprayed until I felt his struggling hands and legs quiten down and then I let go of the can. I started to feel dizzy.

It was then that I realized that my face was too close and I had the insect spray filling my lungs now.

"Oh shi--"

Before I could complete my sentence I fell down on the stone cold pavement and felt my heartbeat slowly die down as whatever the hell was in that spray made its way throughout my body. It was immediately after I felt it stop that I woke up gasping for breath amidst clouds of gold and surrounded by strangely dressed people whispering among themselves. They stopped and eventually all of them disappeared, all but one.

A strange, blue-skinned man with four arms slowly made his way towards me and knelt down beside me. He was ornately dressed, with a golden crown designed like the rising sun and radiant with dozens of minute opulent gems with a large deep red ruby affixed at the centre. He held a dazzling golden disc floating just above the finger on one hand, a golden mace that had no battle scars but emanated an aura of a lifetime of experience on another, a fresh pink Lotus in another and a conch shell in his last hand.

His aura was completely divine and he spoke so softly yet so loud,

"You still have a lot to learn Kalki, I hope you realized the answer to your previous question"

"Wha-What? M-My name's Fritz" I stammered, inexcusable in front of such a divine presence

"How could I forget to wake you up, forgive me" He laughed a heart laugh.

"Wake up" His voice boomed in my head, it tore at me head and shook each and every single atom in my body with its intensity.

And in that moment I realized that I wasn't Fritz.

I was Kalki.

The final avatar of Vishnu whose destiny was to bring about an end to the Kali-yuga.

'Fritz' was just the man's, no, Vishnu's answer to the question I had asked him earlier.

"Why isn't Karma instant?"

To which Vishnu just smiled.
