I wake up to the weight of another person in my bed and it's become a comfort to me once more, rather than a source of terror. I'm not surprised to see that he's still sleeping, sprawled out on his side like a cat in the sun while I'm clinging to his back for warmth. So much for an early riser though I suppose he is when he's not dead on his feet.

I slide out of bed and stretch, my body is achy and sore in the best way, I sigh contentedly. I feel like I can think through the raging libido and focus on our trip tomorrow. I struggle with the idea of leaving Loan behind or taking him with us.

I'll have to leave someone behind to watch Mr.Balan. I scrub a hand through my hair in frustration, how do you trust people? How do you assure they are doing their job? It's much like managing an army, I do have one of the best references on how to do that sleeping in my bed. I remind myself that he wanted to marry me off and I try not to hold onto the malice I felt for him last night.

Forgiveness is easier to achieve when I'm hoping for a second helping. I slide back into bed and kiss the point of his shoulder, pulling him onto his back as I kiss down his chest. I hear the sharp inhale as he pulls himself out of sleep and his hand slips under my chin to grasp my face.

"Can I help you?"

I run my tongue over my lips. "Yes. You can make up for being such a jerk yesterday."

"I did save your life. I think we're even."

"Not quite." I greedily bite his thumb.

"Insatiable." He sighs, folding one hand behind his head. "Do your worst. Let the negotiations begin."

I chuckle, kissing above his navel. "I think we need to discuss a merging of territories beyond southern borders." I slide down the bed, dragging my fingers down his torso.

He makes an appreciative sound, flexing his hips against me. "Sounds like a lot of paperwork."

"I call for a verbal agreement." I slide under the covers, marking a trail with my tongue when I hear the door open.

"Your Majesty, I'm bringing you some breakfast- OH." Ana quickly turns around, blocking us from her view.  I about fall out of bed as I snatch a robe and cover myself while my warlord lays reclined back like a regular patron of a brothel. I shoot him a dirty look and throw the thicker comforter over his lap, he could at least cover-up.

I quickly walk over to take the tray from her. "I'm sorry Ana. I wasn't expecting you this morning." She flushes as she looks at me, her cheeks bright red and she mirrors my terrified yet amused expression as she purses her lips, raising her brows at me.

She clears her throat. "It's quite alright. I erm- I should have knocked." She glances over her shoulder at the naked lycan who isn't paying us much attention. "Good morning, Alpha."

"Good morning. Is Reid up yet?"

"Oh I don't believe so-" She pauses, cursing at herself under her breath.

"Well when you see him, do tell him to sober Tomas up at have them prepare the horses for the travel tomorrow. Or better yet, send Jason to do it. Really not lady's work." He stands up and walks over, snagging the apple off the tray and I try to stay a consistent color. I don't know why I'm so embarrassed, perhaps because I was moments away from getting what I wanted and the fruits of my labors were still present.

She stifles a laugh at my expression, nodding. "Right away, Alpha."

"Thanks, love." He winks at her at makes his way to the bathroom. I exhale, plastering my face into my palm.

"I'm sorry. He's very extra sometimes." I mumble.

Ana composes herself, smiling back at me. "I'm just glad you're happy. Nicolas, this is not a surprise to me."
