Michael woke up the next morning with a smile. Happy and excited to possibly start a new chapter in his life.

Fitz barged into his room, "Michael I need to head out to work. I'm the only ER doctor today. I'm going to drop the four little ones off at the daycare. Don't forget to pick them up. The older ones are having breakfast. I haven't seen Ezra make his way up yet, so you'll wanna go wake him up. Okay? Have a good day!"

"Okay. Thanks! You too!" Michael shouted, but Fitz was already gone. He smiled again, remembering Mika's lips.

And his touch.

He hopped in the shower. Still smiling.
"Daddy?" Ariana yelled from the other side of the bathroom door.

"Yes?"

"We're heading to school. We love you! And Ezra isn't up. His door is locked."

"Okay honey, I'll get him up and drop him off. I love you!"

Ariana and her siblings all walked down the street heading to school.

Michael finished getting ready for the day and quickly ran down the two flights of stairs into the basement. He walked down the hall until he came across a room with 'Ezra' written in pink letters on it. Michael smiled as he remembered the day that his son was born. When he snapped out of his flashback he knocked on Ezra's door.

"Ezra? You know the rules no locked doors in the house. Open up or I'll get the key." Michael didn't hear a response. He didn't hear anything. He quickly ran upstairs to the kitchen and grabbed the door key off of the fridge and then darted back downstairs.

"One more chance Ezra." Michael waited a few seconds before unlocking the door. He entered the room.

He looked around the room quickly and found it empty. Ezra's bed was still a mess. The bathroom door was cracked open with the light on.

"Ezra?" Michael asked. He slowly walked towards the door and put his hand on the handle. He pushed the door open slowly. "Ezra!" Michael cried as he ran over to his son laying on the floor passed out. He was pale. There was a hand towel wrapped around Ezra's wrist. Michael could see the blood on it and on the floor.

He quickly dialed '911' and held onto his son. He held into him until the paramedics arrived. They had to pry Michael off of him.

Michael cried as the paramedics tended to his motionless son and as the officer pulled Michael outside. Michael sat on the porch crying and talking to himself, "what didn't I do? I should've checked on him." He continued to cry as the officer questioned him.

The paramedics began to rush off with Ezra to the ambulance as Michael lost his breathe and passed out.
