A short elevator ride later and they were standing outside the Avengers Museum. This one wasn't circular, like the one below, and instead had one door leading both in and out. The lobby was situated at one side of the building, with views of the street below and Avengers-themed furniture. The rest of the level with taken up by the actual exhibition, and there was no dedicated order in which to see everything.

"I'm gonna be around the centre, just ping me on the chat system if you need anything," Enfys waved them all off, "Meet me there in an hour."

The class fanned out. Peter took in the layout of the exhibition. He'd never been here before, so he was curious.

By the looks of it, each hero had their own section centred around them. The two closest were Iron Man and Captain America.

"Dude, dude, I gotta check something, come on!" Ned frantically waved Peter to follow him, and hurried through the exhibits. Peter was perplexed; Ned was skipping every single one of them.

The room was like an over-elaborate royal garden, or some sort of massive jigsaw puzzle. Each exhibition was a different size and shape, each with different tiled flooring, while wooden boards weaved between them all like pathways. Every now and then you'd see a sign with a map on it, which was probably a good thing, considering Peter was already lost. The ceiling and wall were covered in large screens that fit together perfectly, making an animation of an grasslands in one corner of the room, and a forest across it. The ceiling was painted with swirling clouds, as well as the top of the walls.

As Peter watched, there was a rumbling as 'Iron Man' passed right overhead.

The heroes were everywhere, Peter noticed, on the walls, the ceiling, moving around this fake environment.

He had a quick flashback to, maybe, a couple of months ago? They had been training and Tony had insisted on filming it, and now Peter realised that it had probably been for this.

Somewhere, deep down, Peter realised he was probably grateful to Tony for forcing him on this trip. It didn't make him any less upset, though. Couldn't Tony have just said, "Hey, Underoos, head down to level two and check it out!"

To be fair, Peter wasn't sure he would have actually listened to Tony if he had told him to go.

"LOOK!" Ned all but screamed. Peter's gaze jolted off the floor, raising past alternating blue and red tiles, to the exhibit Ned was currently gushing over.

His heart all but stopped.

It was his exhibit. The Spiderman exhibit. He actually had an exhibit, he couldn't believe it!

He stepped inside, gaping. There, just to the left, was a row of all of his suits, all in stands, starting from his home-made version. They even had the 'Night Monkey' suit, and Peter felt himself flush in embarrassment. Next to each suit was a little sign.

A little further away, there was a screen playing his Youtube videos, a table showing different replicas of his gadgets inside glass casing, a few other little things here and there.

His area wasn't very big, but boy, it was so cool have one at all!

He took a couple steps forwards, eyes scanning over was seemed to be the biggest sign.

Spiderman

Heir to leadership of the Avengers

Peter froze. He read that sentence, once, twice, three times, slowly squinting more and more in his vision blurred. He whipped out his phones, flicked to private messages, and began typing furiously.

is there something you're forgetting to tell me?!

oh yeah!

youll need to press a red button behind the replica

itll open a panel in the wall

gotta keep it hidden from the public!

wait no

gotta go underoos!

have fun and dont die

dad wait!

The little circle next to Tony's name changed from green to orange, and Peter sighed in frustration. He settled on taking a picture of the sign and messaging that to Tony, along with a long line of question marks.

"DUDE!" Ned yelled from further into the exhibit. Peter glanced up from his phone just in time for Flash to shove past him.

Flash snorted, "Really, Parker? What are you doing here?"

"Looking... At the... Exhibits?"

"Typical. You wish you were as good as Spiderman, Penis," Flash shoved Peter aside and went stomping around the exhibit.

Peter righted himself and stared, a little bemused, after Flash as he considered the irony of that sentence. Shaking his head, he went to go find Ned.

His best friend was currently standing by one of the signs, practically vibrating, a massive grin splitting his face in half. "Dude, dude, read this!" he shoved Peter in front of the sign, a little too close. He took a few steps back and started to read.

The Guy In The Chair

The Guy in the Chair, as he is known, is best described as Spiderman's sidekick. While Spiderman is on-scene, the Guy in the Chair is always somewhere nearby, using his intellect and hacking abilities to help Spiderman navigate battles and villainous compounds.

Peter cracked a grin, whipping around to face Ned. "Dude!"

"I KNOW, RIGHT!" Ned burst out, then lowered his voice to a whisper, "We made it dude, we made it big time!"

"Hell yeah!" Peter raised his hand for a high-five and Ned happily obliged.

All seemed to be going well, when a piercing wail cut through everything else again. Peter dully heard a heavy thud, and the alarms cut off. He wheeled around to see Flash being pinned to the ground by strongly built blonde. Hair hung in front of her face, obscuring her eyes, but for a brief moment she glanced up and Peter could see a coldly burning fury in her gaze yet a playful grin dashing her features.

Thumping footsteps could be heard, and Enfys rounded to corner, eyes wide. "ELEANOR! That is a STUDENT!"

"A student that touched a suit! You know how dangerous they can be." Eleanor defended herself.

"Did you have to crash tackle him though?"

"Yes. Absolutely. Completely necessary. Wouldn't have had it any other way."

Enfys' eyebrows arched dubiously.

Beneath Eleanor, Flash let out a dramatic groan, head thumping onto the floor. The blonde and brunette shared a quick eye-roll.

"Might as well let him up now." Enfys said.

Eleanor slowly got up, and once she did, Flash practically threw a fit. He kicked at the floor, screamed, and sent any dust in the nearby vicinity spinning into the air.

An eerie silence settled over the entire level. It took Peter a moment to realise why.

The rumbling of the simulations had stopped. No more humming from thrusters. You couldn't hear the thwip, thwip of webshooters, or the whoosh bang-bang-bang of Cap's shield. Flash's screaming and cursing was the loudest thing, but even he fell silent when he realised how quiet it was.
