It was a tearful and sleepless night for Aya. She stared at one of Jesse's photos in her iPad and kept on thinking to herself how perfect he used to be in her eyes, before she witnessed what happened last night. Aya was only able to sleep for a couple of hours that night. She decided to get up at around seven o'clock, went downstairs to make some breakfast. The silent morning was disturbed when laughter from upstairs bursted through out the house. She was extremely familiar with one of the two laughs, it was from Jesse, and the other one... Aya could only guess. She saw who it was when the two people upstairs came down to the main floor, it was the girl from last night. Whatever pain Aya was feeling since last night was even tripled upon seeing that another girl spent a night with Jesse and who on earth knew what they did last night.
Aya could just awkwardly smile as the girl bid her goodbye and told Jesse that she needed to go because of her part time job. Jesse walked towards the kitchen, he was wearing a white tank top and a pair of jogging pants. He grabbed a bottle of milk in the fridge and drank it as he watched Aya make some french toast.
"Just so you know," Jesse spoke to her with a smug on his face, "last night was a blast,"
Aya just stayed quiet. She's good at hiding her emotions and this was one of the times she needed that skill the most. The next two weeks were hell for Aya. Jesse kept on bringing friends over, sometimes, he would have a girl spend the night with him in his room. It's a good thing for Aya that her room was fully equipped with entertainment unit to keep herself busy and help her ignore what's happening outside her room's walls.
One particular day, she was watching Shokura. In one segment, they were talking about their family members and Jesse was one of those included.
Akito: Ah, Jesse-kun, we heard that you have a new sister?
Jesse: Yes, my dad just recently got married and my new mom, fortunately, has a daughter, so I have a sister. I'm really happy about it. We actually took picture when I was touring her around my school, cause we'll be classmates. She's just five months younger than me.
Kawai: Oh! May we see the picture?
Jesse: Of course! Here! *flips the card he was holding to show the picture* Her name's Aya.
Audience: KAWAII~!!!
Akito: I agree with everyone! You two look great and seems like you're getting along really well
Jesse: Mhm, yes we are. It's nice to have someone to accompany me at home, help me with the chores and stuffs, so far I'm liking my new lifestyle.
"Pfft... such a liar," Aya muttered to herself and turned off the TV. She went to her iMac and logged on Facebook. She talked to one of her friends about fandom and her friend actually noticed that Aya doesn't fangirl that much. She could only say, "It'll be awkward to fangirl over my brother right?"
She spent the rest of the day surfing the net, watching movies and such. Few hours after she last checked her facebook, she noticed how suddenly a bunch of people she didn't know was adding her, not just in Facebook, but her Twitter followers as well as instagram increased. Then she realized, it was because Jesse had introduced her already in Shokura; it was because she's Jesse's younger sister.
Aya sighed to herself as she just left the friend requests alone, as well as the messages she was getting. She decided to just carefully add people who she thought wanted to be her friend because they wanted to know, not because she's Jesse's new sister. Also, she made a back up account, using English name and just added selected people from her friend list. Twitter and Instragram, she didn't mind since they're just followrs. She won't necessarily see their posts if she let them follow her.
