The sky was beautiful.
Stars twinkling so prettily, the full moon shone brightly over the clear night. The quietness surrounded him and he felt at peace.
Changkyun closed his eyes and breathed. Thoughts clouded his mind as he kept staring at the endless sky. He took another breath and sighed.
This was the last night he would be in his hometown. Tomorrow he would head for Seoul, where he had appointed the Seoul Music University.
He smiled towards the sky. Soon he'd be meeting his older brother Jaebum, the two was always close to each other.
His parents had helped him paying an apartment close to campus. Eomma always talked about how her baby grew up and was going to college. Maybe he himself couldn't believe it yet.
Changkyun chuckled to himself.
It was exciting to move into his own apartment and starting college but he would miss the calmness of the hometown. He would certainly miss his mother cooking and the places he knew he could go to when he had to be alone.
In the other way, all his friends already moved to study in the big city and he would be able to meet them again. Even his older brother moved to Seoul a couple of years ago.
And maybe, just maybe, he would meet his soulmate.
All his friends already did. They had even more than one soulmate, like his hyung for example. He did admit that he was jealous of the colors they had. Colors he didn't have.
Letting out another sigh, he sat up, still looking at the stars. He knew that his soulmate at least saw the same sky he saw, lived in the same world as himself. But one day, they would be fated to meet. He would wait for that day.
The next morning, he woke up early. Eagerly he jumped out of bed, changed and ran downstairs to the kitchen. He smiled as he heard some familiar voices.
"Jaebum hyung!"
His older brother smiled and they hugged.
"Look at Kyunnie, all grown up and going to college!"
Changkyun whined and muttered that he wasn't a kid anymore. The older just laughed as they sat down at the table to east breakfast with their parents.
He looked around as he finally set down the last box. They had driven for a few hours and after some turns into the city, they arrived to his apartment. Then, shortly after, Changkyun talked to a few friends while they waited for the truck to arrive.
And there they were, lifting boxes after boxes up the stairs to drop them off in his apartment. His hyung came shortly after him, setting down the last things on the floor before smiling towards the younger.
"Seems like you got your own nice apartment here Kyunnie. Just don't bring home strangers even if they are handsome."
He blushed and shook his head.
"I'm just happy to finally settle down for once."
Jaebum nodded and laughed as he saw Changkyuns grimace.
"You know you got to pack up by yourself right?"
Changkyun nodded. Suddenly, Jaebums phone rang and the older gave him an excusing look before answering.
"Hey, babe."
He rolled his eyes and snickered as the older talked to his boyfriend. Jaebum Just ignored him and entered the kitchen, continuing to talk in the phone.
Changkyun sat down on the floor and opened the box closest to him. He was happy he had been there some weeks before to repaint and fill the apartment with furniture. Now, he just had to pack up his things.
Jaebum came back after a few minutes and the younger already began organizing clothes in the closets.
"Hey Kyunnie?"
"Hm?"
Jaebum scratched his head and smiled at his younger brother.
"I have to go, Nyoungie is waiting."
Changkyun nodded in understanding.
"Yeah, you should go to your date before the others come and steal him from you."
Jaebum groaned and sighed.
"I get that we are seven soulmates but do they really have to take my private time with my Jinyoungie?"
Changkyun just laughed.
"Well, you better get used to it hyung."
Jaebum nodded and shook his head. His soulmates clearly was chaotic, especially the two youngest.
"Are you sure it's ok?"
"Of course hyung! I can unpack on my own you know? It will only take a few hours, I will be done til tomorrow."
His hyung hesitated before nodding slowly.
"Well then, see you at campus Kyunnie."
They bid each other goodbyes, Jaebum promising him to say hi to Jinyoung from him. The older stepped out of the apartment and closed the door.
Changkyun looked around at all boxes and sighed. It was just time to get to work.
He turned on some soft music in the background as he began unpacking.
