Right now Changkyun just wanted to shrink and disappear.
Both his brothers were no help either, laughing as he came to them in panic. Woobin would know that once he met his soulmates.
He humphed, still a bit annoyed none of his sibling decided to actually help him. Thankfully Jinyoung was there to encourage him to tell his boyfriends while glaring on Jaebum.
Argh, this was so tense. He looked between Kihyun and Hyunwoo while sitting between Hyungwon and Hoseok. No one uttered a word, only silence between them.
[Flashback]
"Wait what?!?!" Hoseok looked shocked as the younger nodded.
The older must've noticed his insecurities as he moved closer, pulling Changkyun into his lap.
"It's alright, Kkukungie. We love you always, I'm just a bit surprised." Hyungwon joined them at the kitchen table, Changkyun's cooking forgotten in the background.
"Yeah, me too. Seems like you really are something special aren't you? I'm also happy you decided to be honest with us." He blushed as Hyungwon softly laughed, kissing his forehead.
"I think you guys are also linked." Hoseok ley out an oh, blinking as he turned Changkyun to face him.
"How do you mean?"
"Well, you know like a soulmate bond. Only it's invisible. Just a feeling." Hyungwon hummed.
"With you as a center then I guess. That actually makes sense Kyun." His Hyung's hands tightened around his waist while stealing a kiss from the younger. Changkyun flushed and giggled again, wrapping his arms around Hoseok's neck.
"Thank you for telling us Changkyun-ah. We will work this out, alright?" The pink haired male pushed strands of hair out of Changkyun's face, gently sweeping by his cheek.
"Together?" Hoseok hummed as Changkyun smiled. Yeah, he liked the sound of that.
It turned out that Hyunwoo and Hoseok was friends. They've been working out together and both of them was in some groupchat together with other males as Matthew Kim.
Wow, such small world they lived in.
They agreed to meet up and eat dinner together in the apartment. Changkyun felt anxious whilst cooking, almost afraid it would taste too awful or salty.
Surprisingly, the males liked the meal. Kihyun also cooked and he would much more prefer the other's cooking if he was honest. So when he got praise, Changkyun assumed it didn't taste too horrible.
He was shocked the conversation went so smoothly, the five of them bonding so fast. Changkyun felt also more relaxed in the presence of his boyfriends, missing the adoring look exchanged between Kihyun and Hyunwoo as they studied the three males.
So when the deserts came and it was time to talk about soul bonds, they quieted down.
"How long have you guys known you are soulmates?" Kihyun decided to break the silence, kindly smiling.
Hyungwon hummed lowly, hand resting on his thigh as the older spoke up. Changkyun flushed slightly, munching on the cake they brought home. "I met Kyun coincidentally one day after class. He was standing there, outside a food shop when I came by on my bike."
He nodded, laughing as he squeezed Hyungwon's hand. "We didn't notice the soulmate bond until our second encounter in a Café. Both of us accidentally bumped into each other and when we picked up our books, we accidentally touched."
"I've been dating Hoseok since two years earlier. Both of us were slowly accepting Changkyunnie into our lives, first just as friends." Hoseok smiled fondly on his two boyfriends, cooing how adorable Changkyun looked squished between them.
Obviously Kihyun and Changkyun were equal height but he didn't want to be killed by a hamster saying that so...
"But then the first time we met, we discovered that Changkyun and I are also soulmates. And now as it seems, also you, Kihyun-ssi." He felt a bit uncomfortable as all the older males turned their gazes to him.
"So, um, how do we do this? I already understand sunbaenims love each other so we can just be friends. I really don't mind." Hyunwoo shifted and hummed.
"Well, all of us met anyways. We just want to get to know you guys better. Also, I think you can drop the sunbaenims Changkyun-ah." The younger nodded and smiled nervously.
Hoseok looked silently on his friend. Both he and Hyungwon had studied the two of them during the dinner, both watching Changkyun with adoration.
Maybe he could trust these two to not hurt Changkyun. The younger were so understanding, he loved him for being so selfless.
Just like how they were from the beginning, Changkyun were prepared to let his soulmate be happy despite not being with him. He wished the black haired male could see how amazing he was.
"We respect your choices too. Let's get to know each other better, alright?" Hyungwon smiled.
Kihyun and Hyunwoo both nodded, looking relived. Changkyun gave them a small smile of his own, eyes glistening.
It was alright, because he knew he had Hoseok and Hyungwon.
The conversation continued on and he found himself laughing, enjoying the atmosphere. At least they bonded easily, better than he had experienced.
When they rose up from their seats, both guests helped them to clean. Hyunwoo helped him pick up plates and bowls, humming lowly.
Changkyun thanked him for the help, accepting a plate when it happened. A spark of electricity made him shocked as he dropped the plate.
The crashing sound made the three other rush back into the kitchen looking worriedly between them. Just when Hyungwon opened his mouth to ask what happened, he followed Changkyun's gaze and stopped.
Hyunwoo stared at the younger's fingers. They were dotted with dark blue, like the noon sky before stars.
If he was honest, he and Kihyun had decided to see Changkyun. He might never be the younger's soulmate but something about the other sparked his interest.
So when he saw the other's boyfriends being overprotective, he couldn't help but smile. It'd be another story if it just had been the three of them. He was grateful for Kihyun, the other refusing to leave his side.
The brunette could never guess destiny would do a thing like this.
Changkyun gaped and for a moment he was scared what the other would say.
Instead, the younger just smiled. Kihyun met his gaze, eyes softening. Both Hyungwon and Hoseok watched them in awe before striding forwards to them.
"You're my soulmate hyung." Hyunwoo could've sworn his heart jumped at the cute little smile.
Kihyun nodded, smiling fondly when he cast the younger a gaze for help. Hyungwon and Hoseok were silent as he turned to face them.
He almost thought they would refuse him until Hoseok spoke up.
"Seems like our kkukungie have all of us as soulmates." Changkyun flushed, a apology slipping past his lips. Hyunwoo shushed him, telling him it was alright.
"What do you two think? You want to try this polyamory relationship with us or not?"
Us.
Hyunwoo smiled.
He liked the sound of that.
