Kol woke up to the sound of feet padding across the floor. He felt a hand on his shoulder caressing it soothingly.
"Kol baby, wake up." A whisper said in his ear. He decided to pretend to sleep to see what she would do.

   After a moment of silence, Elena shook his shoulder uttering a small 'come on', before straddling him and placing a short, tender kiss upon his lips before he pulled her back in, deepening the kiss, before pulling away for breath.
"Oh so now you decide to wake up." She said rolling her eyes, but she couldn't help the small smile growing on her face.

"I wouldn't have it any other way. If I could wake up kissing you every morning I would." He stated, brushing his thumb across her cheekbone. A small blush bloomed on her cheeks and on the tips of her ears as she playfully smacked his chest.
"Stop being so cheesy you weirdo."
"Only for you, my love."
"I said stop."

"Never." He let out a chuckle as flipped them over, him now towering over with loving eyes traveling over her face. Elena squirmed under his gaze, slightly uncomfortable.
"Kol?" Kol shook his head out of the gutter, and placed a sweet kiss upon her pink lips, moving down to her collar bone, and making his way back to her neck, leaving small love bites on his way up.

"I still can't believe how a person could be this beautiful. It baffles me." He smiles at her, morphing into a slight frown as she took on a look of disbelief and shook her head.
"I'm not beautiful Kol, not enough." She looked up at him noticing his disapproval. "And I thought I told you to stop saying stuff like that." She said giggling and punching his shoulder, trying to lift the mood.

"Elena, you are the most beautiful,sexy, pretty, cute girl I've ever met. Never forget that. No one could ever replace you." He nuzzled into her jaw and placed a small kiss there, sitting up.
"Alright, what do you want to do today?" He asked.
"I was thinking we could just cuddle all day? Maybe watch a movie or two?" She suggested.

"Brilliant idea love. Let's see what's on demand." He said as he grabbed the remote from the side table. He clicked the 'on' button but nothing happened. He smacked it against his hand, switched the batteries around but nothing happened.

"Shoot, the batteries are dead. I'll go grab a couple double-A's, I'll be right back, okay love?" He asked.
"Okay." She responded going on her phone. He walked out of the room when she received a text from an unknown number. Kol had wiped her phone of her contacts so it might have been from someone she knew. She clicked on the conversation and read the text.

Unknown:
Sweetheart? Are you okay?

Elena:
Who is this?
Unknown:
Niklaus, and you didn't answer my question.

Elena:
I'm fine,
I'm with kol. I thought he killed you!

Tears brimmed her eyes as she remembered the plane, her head had rushed with the worst possible circumstances and had decided to just assume that he and Elijah were gone. Forever. Like Finn....

Niklaus:
Im fine. I'm coming for you love.
Just wait. We'll be together soon.

Niklaus has left the chat

Elena hears the sound of footsteps approaching the room and she expects to see Kol but the sight in front her was not him but someone else. Someone she would have never expected.
