Just as she was getting close, Klaus pulled away, a smirk smeared across his face as well as her juices. Wiping away at his mouth, he heartily chuckled at the sight before him. A distraught, frustrated Elena with a fat pout on her face.
His condescending look only made her more upset, this close to just pushing him onto the ground and taking what she needs for herself. He leaned in to kiss away her sad look, but a firm, dainty hand held him in his place. He looked up into her eyes and almost cooed at the unshed tears clinging to her red rims and long eyelashes.

"Why'd you stop?"

She looked practically devastated from her lack of release, and he couldn't stop the growing smile plastering itself on his face. That only made her more angry, so he took his thumb and smoothed the furrow between her brows before taking it and dragging it over her plump bottom lip. Which was red and swollen from the heady kissing. He pulled his thumb away and planted a chaste kiss on her cupid's bow before allowing the next few words to spill out of his mouth:

"Why did you think you deserved it after everything you've done to me this past year?"

The guilty expression that slid over her said it all. She didn't deserve to cum. Not after all the stuff she did to him, all of the times she denied his release or him in general. She had been a bad girl. And bad girls get punished. Oh no, she thought, I'm slipping into sub space. No no no no, not right now. But nothing could take away the next thing she said.

"I'm sorry sir."

Niklaus was stock still. What did she just call him? A dark look took over his icy blue eyes, his facial features smoothing out to create a look of pure lust. Klaus' hand reached up to brush a stray strand of hair away from her face before trailing a ghostly path down her neck, leaving goose bumps in its' wake. His fingertips left butterfly touches tracing her collar bones and down her clavicle.

"You truly are beautiful, you know that?" He whispered, his hot breath fanning the side of her face giving her butterflies in her stomach. She could make no response other than the airy gasps falling from her swollen lips. A truly beautiful sound. His trail continued down to the flatness of her stomach before curving his hand around her hip, moving it down to hook behind her knee and lift her leg up to hitch against his waist. His other hand firmly cupped her jaw as he flitted his eyes back to hers. Her brown orbs practically glowing with need. She was desperate, and made no effort to hide it.

"Are you sure you want this? Because once I start I can not stop. So decide now. Shall we go further? Or end this now?" The look on his face was one to remember, even in the heat of the moment he still did not lack compassion and concern for her. His brows were furrowed and jaw was set, but the icy blue of his eyes held only warmth. She understood what he was asking. This was more than about a hookup. This was about them. This was whether or not they should try to make a beginning together, or say goodbye. Just the thought of it made her heart clench in her chest. She wanted to ball herself up and hide herself from all the problems of the world. But sadly that's not how it works. And her problem sat right behind their ribcages, hearts beating to the same rhythm, completely in tune to one other. And in that moment she knew.
She knew that what needed to be done was going to be the best and worst thing for them both. So she gently peeled his hand off of her thigh, removing the other from her jaw and held them in her palms. He seemed confused, alert at her sudden choice of action. Worried that she may have changed her mind about him and was going to leave. No. No no no. She couldn't leave him. Not again. It hurt so much last time she can't go, I can't-

Elena could almost hear his thoughts from the fear and pain in his doe eyes as they flitted back and forth between hers in panic.

"Hey hey, it's okay Nik, we're okay." She cupped his cheeks and leaned up to place a chaste kiss on his forehead before bending down to grab her robe from the ground, slipping it around her shoulders and retying it in the front. As she turns back to him a feeling of calm settles over her. She is in control of what happens next, and she feels incredibly safe. Not something she'd ever felt in the presence of the original in front of her. Wrapping her arms around herself to ensure her security, she began to speak.

"The last few months have been intense. Challenge after challenge, I could never catch a break. I-", she breaks mid sentence to chuckle. Looking back it all seemed so silly now. Unbelievable really. "I can't believe that this is where I am now, getting heated with a Mikaelson at the back of my childhood home."

She looks down at the ground, dropping her arms to fidget with her fingers anxiously, so unsure of herself in the deafening silence. But she knew he only wished to listen.

"So many things have happened, it's overwhelming. There's been love, loss, sadness, euphoria, heartbreak... And you. You've always just been there. After everything the both of us have done, and been through, we always end up here. Wracked with uncertainty and mixed feelings. Always pacing around each other, never able to meet in the middle. Well, let's do it now." Klaus' eyebrows raised in curiosity. What was she trying to say?

"I know i've always pushed you away, and then pulled you back. The whole thing is like a tidal wave trying to put a rift between us, which I know sounds cheesy, and I know I don't deserve another chance but I really think if you gave us a chance it could work out. Not that you have to of course, I know i've messed up a lot in the past and I'd be dumb to think that you would want me back so I guess I'll just- hmph." Suddenly warm arms are being wrapped around her, automatically tucking her head into his chest. Feeling the nerves that were creeping up her spine slowly begin to fade away into nothingness.

"Don't be silly love, I'd be a bloody fool to ever let you go. There's nothing you could do to make me stop loving you darling. No matter who you end up picking, I will always protect you. And I would love to go out with you if that's what you were asking." His serious expression melted into a big smile as they both began to laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation.

Hooking her chin against his cotton covered sternum, she looked up at him fondly.

"We're really going to do this?' She questioned him hopefully, a blush dusting her cheeks.

"We really are." He kissed the top of her head before holding her tighter to his chest.

Little did they know a certain doppelganger just happened to be listening in. And she was not happy.

Love you all!!!! <33333
