Shadow's P.O.V

Morning came rather quickly. I woke up, stretched, got up, and dressed. I yawned as I walked to the kitchen. Moonlight was already up, guess mom and dad are still asleep.

"I'm guessing mom and dad are still asleep," I said and took a seat next to Moonlight, who was eating her cereal.

"You know it," Moonlight said and ate a spoonful of her cereal.

I sighed.

Moonlight looked at me concerned.

"Hey, is everything alright?" Moonlight asked me as she wiped some milk off her mouth with the sleeve of her shirt.

"What? Yeah. It's just, I sometimes wonder what life would be if we didn't have these," I pointed to my red mark.

Moonlight got up and put her plate on the sink.

"Well, one things for sure..." she started as she washed her plate. "...we wouldn't be homeschooled."

"Yeah, I guess you're right," I said.

I grabbed an apple and took a bite out of it.

"Well, looks who's finally up."

I turned around to see Morro staring at us.

"Bro, for how long were you there for?" I asked.

"Umm...for about your whole conversation time," Morro said.

"Ugh...sometimes I can't stand you," I said, jokingly, as Moonlight laughed.

"Yeah, yeah, and I can't stand you either," Morro said and rolled his eyes playfully. "Look. You promised me that we were gonna climb trees today after you're finished with your whole 'school lesson thing', you still up for that?"

"Like hell 'ya!" I exclaimed with Moonlight.

"Alright, but don't forget," Morro said before vanishing out of sight.

Soon after that, mom and dad came out of their room, already dressed.

"Alright, kids, let's get you started with today's lesson," Dad said.

Today's lesson went rather quickly. Moonlight and I had a quick Math lesson, some Spanish, and we learn something about history.

Gotta say, history wasn't as boring as usual. We learned what these "Serpentine" or whatever they're called.

As me and Moonlight were about to leave, mom and dad had something to tell us.

"Kids! Wait!" Mom said.

Me and Moonlight stopped and we turned to face them.

"Yeah, mom?" Moonlight asked.

"We have something to tell you," Dad said.

"What is it?" I asked.

Mom took a deep breath and then sighed.

"Me and your father have made a decision," Mom started.

"About what?" Moonlight asked.

Dad took a deep breath.

"Me and your mother decided to put you two in a high school in 2 weeks, and you'll be staying there until you finish high school," Dad said.

"WHAT?!"
