Accident

Moonlight's P.O.V

Me and Shadow are gonna go buy a cake. And, no, it's not someone's birthday, we just want a cake to eat.

"Shadow, have the money?" I asked.

"Yep!" he replied as we walked outside the house.

Of course, we didn't leave our caps behind. If we ever leave the house to go outside or buy something, we always bring our caps.

While we walk to the city, we look around. It has been a while since we've been to the city. There were some people walking around. We looked for the nearest cake shop. We've spot one after 5 minutes of looking.

We walked inside, and we were amazed at how many cakes there was. There was almost every type of cake. Chocolate cake. Velvet cake. Lemon cake. Cheesecake cake. And so much more!

"So, Shadow," I said while staring at the cakes. "Which cake should we get?"

"Cheesecake!" Shadow exclaimed.

"Alright, strawberry cheesecake?" I asked. "Yup! Strawberry cheesecake!" Shadow said.

I asked the worker for the strawberry cheesecake and I paid for it. I carried the cheesecake in my hands and then passed the cheesecake to Shadow. "Alright," I said to Shadow. "Let's go."

As we headed out the door I accidentally bumped into someone, causing them to drop their cake onto their shirt. I gasped. "Oh! I'm so so so sorry!" I quickly apologized.

"It's alright," the person said. The person had black hair, but his bangs were pink. The person was a boy, around mine and Shadow's age, and he had brown eyes. "I could just get another cake," he said.

"Let me pay for it, after all, it is my fault I made you drop your cake," I said. "Really? You'd do that for me?" the boy said. "Mmmm-hmmm," I said, nodding and went to purchase to chocolate cake.

After that, I went back to the boy and gave him the chocolate cake. He smiled. "Thanks!" he exclaimed.

"No problem!" I said. "Sis, we should head back," Shadow said. I almost forgot he was there. "Okay," I said as we were heading for the door.

"Wait!" the boy called after us. We turned around. "What are your names?" Me and Shadow looked at each other. "Moonlight and Shadow," I said. "That's our names."

He smiled. "I'm Rockler."

We had a small talk after that, and the three of us exchanged phone numbers.

"We'll see you around, Rockler," Shadow said as we headed out the cake shop.

As me and Shadow walked, I said, "Do you think he's now a friend?" Shadow shrugged. "He seemed nice enough, but maybe that's only because he hasn't seen our faces," he said, a bit of sadness in his voice.

"I'm sure he's nice," I said. "I know he is."
