Third Person
Flame knocked on the door of his house. He waited patiently for the door to open. The door swung open and he saw his mom.
"You're late," she teased.
"Yeah, yeah, I know, mom," Flame said as his mom stepped aside for Flame to walk in. He walked inside, spotting his sister and his dad already sitting down for dinner.
"There you are!" his dad said.
"Yeah! You took forever!" his sister piped in. "What took you so long?"
Flame walked over to the table and took a seat across from his sister.
"I was simply walking around the forest," he said, while his mom started to serve the noddles. He grabbed some chopsticks for the noodles and kinda played with them. He sighed dreamily when he remembered Moonlight. He remembered her smile the way her hand was soft...and he's daydreaming.
Unfortunately for him, his sister caught him in the act. "Woah, bro," she said. "You look like you just saw an angel." Without much thinking he said, "I pretty much did..." His head snapped up from his noodles to see his sister smirking along with their dad. "You heard that, didn't you?" Flame said. "Yep!" Sunset said, popping the 'p'. Flame groaned. "So..." his dad said. "Who's the lucky girl?"
Flame's face heated up. "Dad!!!" he groaned. "Face it bro!" Sunset said. "You've got a certain crush on someone, and I wanna know who it is."
"I've also technically made friends!" Flame said as his mom sat down beside him.
"Really? Friends you say," his mom said. "Who are they?"
"Well, I've met 3 of them in the forest, and the other 2 while walking here," he said, eating some of his noodles. "And let me guess," Sunset said, slurping her noodles. "One out of your 5 friends is the one you have a crush on."
"Yep," he said, trying to ignore the smirks he got from his sister. "Why don't you tell me who she is?" Sunset whined. "'Cause I don't wanna!" Flame replied, slurping his noodles. "Fine," Sunset said and ate some of her noodles. "But tell me about your friends right now!"
"Okay! Okay!" Flame said, chuckling at his sister's behavior, same goes for their parents. "My first three friends: Shadow, Moonlight, and Morro." At the last name, their parents head snapped up from their meal, but it was gone unnoticed by Flame and Sunset.
"They were nice. Although, there is a something special about all three of them, not gonna say it though," Flame said. "When can I meet them?" Sunset asked. "Well, I kinda told them that you'll meet them tomorrow," Flame sheepishly said. "Perfect!" Sunset said, finishing her noodles. "I can't wait to meet them! What about the other two?"
"Well, let me tell you this: they are quite talkative," Flame said. Their dad lightly chuckled. "Reminds me of someone," their dad said. "Really? Who dad?" Sunset asked. "A...old friend," their dad responded. "Always telling bad jokes and puns, but he was quite a friend if you ask me." He sighed. "I hope to see him again." "Oh, Kai," their mom said. "You'll see him and Nya someday again." "Yeah, I know Skylor," he responded.
"Nya?" Flame said. "Who's Nya?" Their parents looked at them. "Oh right, we forgot to tell you," their dad--Kai-- said. "Nya is my sister," he said. "Wait! Hold up!!!" Sunset said. "You guys are saying that we. Have. A. AUNT?! And you didn't tell us?!" "Yeah, sorry," their mom--Skylor-- said sheepishly. "Do we have a cousin?!" Flame quickly asked.
"Actually, yeah, you do," Kai said. "AWESOME!! Now I can hang out with someone that isn't a ass like Flame!" Sunset said. "Hey!" Flame said. "Back to the topic," Sunset quickly said, trying to avoid an angry Flame. "Who are your other friends?" Flame calmed down a bit. "Their names are Thunder and Flow, they're chill. But they have our last name as their middle names! A coincidence if you ask me," Flame said.
"Is more than a coincidence if you ask me," Kai muttered under his breath. "So we're gonna meet up with you're first 3 friends?" Sunset said. "Yep!" Flame said. "Cool!" Sunset exclaimed. "But sooner or later, I'm gonna find out who your crush is!" Sunset said, doing the I-got-my-eye-on-you face. "Hehehe...sure you are," Flame said.
As the two kids left the kitchen, Skylor and Kai got to talking. "You heard them, right?" Kai said. "Definitely," Skylor said. "And if I heard correct, Flame said Morro's name, do you think he's alive?" "I'm not sure Skylor, but I kinda wanna talk about those two kids Flame mentioned," Kai said. "He said their middle names were Smith, do you think..." Skylor sighed. "I don't know Kai, but sooner or later, we'll find out."
