The start of a friendship

Flame's P.O.V

As I walk around, I see some tall trees.

I thought nothing of them at first. They were just tall trees.

That was until I heard a scream.

I ran over and saw a girl falling down, a boy on the tree to her right tried to get her but failed.

I could only do one thing: Save her.

I ran as fast as I can, and so caught her, but since I had her on my back I kinda blacked out.....

I woke up to the sound of voices.

I groaned and tried to open my eyes. My vision was kinda blurry, but I could barely see two figures standing in front of me.

My vision clears and I see two boys, they look to be about my age, but one of them is glowing green and floating(!) while the other one has this weird mark of their face.

I quickly stand up, but something bumps my head and I fall back down.

"Oww!" I yelled and hold my head.

I look up and see that I'm sitting right under a tree!

I'm such a idiot, I thought.

I look back in front to see the same two boys.

"Umm...hi?" I said. Great introduction dude, now they'll probably think I'm weird, I thought.

"Uhh...hi..." the boy with the red mark said.

"Umm...what happened?" I asked, not remembering what happened.

"Well, uh...you kinda blacked out when you saved my sister, and I just wanted to say thanks," the same boy said.

Memories came into my mind again. I remembered what happened.

"You're welcome," I said.

There was a small silence.

"I'm Shadow," the boy said.

"And I'm Morro," the glowing green and floating(!) person said.

"I'm Flame," I said.

I suddenly felt some movement on my shoulder. I looked down on my shoulder to see the girl I saved. She had the same red mark Shadow had, makes sense they're siblings. Seems like she's still unconscious...

Oh. My. God, I thought my face heating up. Why does she look so cute sleeping?

"Looks like someone has a crush~" Morro said teasingly.

I blushed more.

"N-No I don't!" I said, my face blushing more.

I heard a groan and it seems like the girl just woke up.

"Ugh...what happened?" she asked, rubbing the back of her head.

She then looks at me with her green eyes.

She has the greenest eyes I've ever seen, I thought. She looks so pretty with her green eyes and- omg!! Stop thinking about her! You've just met her!

My face secretly blushes more.

"Umm...hi," she says, a bit nervously.

"Hi, I'm Flame," I introduced myself to her and held out a hand to her.

She looks a bit shocked at first but then shook my hand.

I blushed more at her touch. Her hand was soft.

"Moonlight," she said.

That must be her name, I thought. Her name is pretty.

"W-Well, it's n-nice to m-meet you," I stuttered a bit.

"Nice to meet you too," Moonlight said, smiling at me.

She even looks cute while smiling, I thought.

"I guess Shadow and Morro already introduced themselves," Moonlight said.

"Yeah, you guys seem nice," I said.

"Thanks. We usually don't get greetings like that," Shadow said.

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"Whenever someone looks at us with our weird red face mark, they see a freak," Moonlight said in a barely whisper. "They judge on how someone looks and not on their personally."

I felt bad for them. They were judged on just because of the red mark. That's not fair.

"That's not fair," I said. "They shouldn't just judge you on how you look like."

"We know, but...it's okay. We usually don't go to the city and me and Shadow get homeschooled," Moonlight said.

"You guys are getting homeschooled?" I asked.

"Yeah, but, our parents are gonna sign us up for high school in 2 weeks, guess when the winter break is done, we're gonna have to go till the end of high school," Shadow said.

"You two can stick with me and my sister till the end of high school," I said.

"You have a sister?" Shadow said.

"Yeah, her name is Sunset. We usually fight a lot but we get on good terms in most times too," I said.

"So, we can really hang out with you guys?" Moonlight said.

"Yeah, and we actually don't have...friends," I said.

"Well, we'll like to be your friends!" Moonlight said.

"For real?" I asked.

"Yeah, although, I don't know how your sister is gonna act when she sees Morro," Shadow admits.

"Why would she have a reaction?" I asked.

"I'm a ghost of you haven't noticed," Morro said.

Holy shit!!! I've just noticed!!! Why didn't I see it earlier?!?!? It's obvious! He's see-through, glowing green and floating!!!

"I'm so stupid for not noticing that earlier," I admit.

"You're not, you're just not...that person who observes things closely," Morro said.

"I guess, I would describe my sister a person that observes things closely," I said. "But anyways, I have to go. Dinner's almost ready and I don't want to miss."

"We understand. We'll meet here tomorrow at 2:30p.m.?" Moonlight asked.

"Sure, and I'll bring my sister along as well!" I said as I started to run out of the woods.

Friends, I thought. I have friends!
