[ SORA ] - On Hiatus

[ Living with Sora ]

Sora, to Kakashi, was the very definition of an 'enigma'. The child was definitely a kid, he was little and a bit scrawny, but he acts like he's older than Kakashi himself. Which is of course impossible... But is it really?

Kakashi wasn't sure anymore. He was, unbelievably, doubting his sanity. Why would that even come into mind in the first place? Sora was starting to make him feel like he's crazy!

And now this happens...

"Kakashi-san, can I borrow a kunai?"

Kakashi squinted his eye on the excited little boy looking up at him from below.

Are you kidding me? He's already holding it. On top of that, he didn't ask permission once upon a time ago. What's the difference this time?

"Are you in trouble again?"

Sora made a surprised face as if mocking him for asking a stupid question. Sora was purposively getting on his nerves. But of course, he wouldn't let him.

"I'm just changing my ways Kakashi-san. From now on, I'll be good." And Sora gave his very own eye-smile. It turned out a bit creepy and unnerving.

This kid is definitely up to something...

Kakashi worked his thoughts for a bit longer measuring the pros and cons of fancying Sora's little games. It wasn't even that long since then, when Sora began pranking him. He hasn't fallen for once and most of the time, Sora was the one who got trouble with the neighbors because of his plays, that was either too noisy and too destructive.

"Kakashi-san! Your son destroyed our lawn again!"

"Son? He's not...-"

"Do something and stop him from setting bombs everywhere! Be a good parent for once!"

"But-"

"Kakashi-san! Sora..."

"What now..."

That was really a lot of trouble. What happened to the behaved boy in the house carving little pieces of figures from wood? Did he get bored and suddenly had the drive to mess up his days for fun?

He was even caught off guard when Sora left the other day saying he was going to play with other kids. It was a miracle! Sora was going out for once and his life wouldn't be another day of troubles.

However, of course, it was all good while it lasted.

What has the kid plan on doing this time?

Kakashi could only wonder...

But that worry would be put aside for now. He had work to do and someone to visit.

Kakashi shunshins his way to where he had always been going since then. He hid his hand inside his pockets and stared at the stone.

If only you guys...

The words were left on air. If only. If only. But it wouldn't. It will never be.

A good amount of time has passed and he was finally ready to continue his day. With a deep sigh, he dashed towards the Konoha's center, where the Hokage resides.

"Kakashi, good to finally have you here." Hiruzen said as soon as Kakashi's soles had set foot on the window.

"I'm here." He announced, though it was pretty obvious, he still did.

"Yes. Now, I would like to talk about the Uchiha clan's movements. Did Itachi had any say to what they have been doing inside?"

Kakashi then stepped in the office and as soon as he did, Hiruzen shut everyone off, and they had their privacy. Hiruzen was very anxious for the clan he seemed to have no control off. Their anger was both understandable and unnerving... But they were still a part of the citizens he had to take care off. They were of the leaf and he still believes, even if it's very little, he believes that the fire is still burning within their very hearts.
