AN: This is just another filler chapter, but I thought it would be a little funny. I'm no comedian, but I try a bit. I'm quite excited about the fight between the reader and Stain!
Soon everyone was back in class, ready for the day to begin. While they were waiting on Aizawa, they were talking about how people had been able to recognize them from the Sports Festival causing (F/N) to frown and look away. Next to her was Toxin who watched the students with blank eyes. They quieted down when their teacher walked into class.
"Ribbit. Mr. Aizawa, you don't have bandages anymore." Both (F/N) and Toxin looked at him, (F/N) noticing the scar under his eyes. "That's good news."
"The old lady went a little overboard in her treatment." He commented, his hand rubbing his cheek. "Anyway, we have a big class today. On Hero Informatics." The class immediately fell into a slump, worried about what they might have to do. "You need code names. Time to pick your hero identities." Almost immediately the class cheered at those words. Aizawa seemed to activate his quirk as his eyes turned red and his hair flew up into the air. "This is related to the pro-hero draft picks I mentioned the last time we were in class together. Normally the students don't have to worry about the draft yet, not until their second or third year actually, but your class is different.
If fact, by extending offers to first years like you, pros are essentially investing in your potential. Any offers in you can be rescinded if their interest dies down in you before graduation, though."
"So what you're saying is we'll still have to prove ourselves, even after we've gotten recruited?" Hagakure clarified.
"Correct," Her teacher answered. "Now, here are the totals for those of you who got offers." On the board behind him, names appeared with a bar and numbers. Todoroki was first while Bakugou was second, opposite of what happened at the festival. It was only a few names, the people who made it to the last event, but not all of them. Deku's name wasn't up there. "Despite these results, you'll all be interning with pros, except you (L/N)." The girl sighed and looked away at those words, drowning out whatever he'd said next. She looked at Toxin before speaking up.
"Why am I even here? They don't even let me do anything." Toxin shrugged, responding in a whisper.
"Beats me. I don't know why you sit here and take it. Say something."
"Like what? Besides, what's the point in arguing with them? It's thanks to them I'm not in jail." The girl muttered.
"Doesn't matter, if they're going to train you here to be a pro-hero, you should have the same opportunities as them." Although Toxin was usually more brash and aggressive in cases like this, this time she was right. Sure, (F/N)'s warriors needed to stay hidden, but for how long? At some point, she'd be a hero and every single villain who know about her abilities. So why did she need to be some secret student now? She'd already faced villains, she did an amazing job. She'd saved Aizawa and All Might... so why did they keep doing this to her?
The sports festival was her chance to shine, to show the world she wasn't some weakling who needed people to look after her. She was... pro-hero material, right? So she didn't need people trying to hide her for the rest of her life. If that was the case, she could just go to a normal high school and just never summon her warriors or use her quirk, ever again. What was so wrong what that?
No, that can't be right... they must've seen some potential in her. She got in on recommendations too, just like Todoroki and Yaoyorozu. Sure, her case is a bit different, but she got in regardless because pro-heroes recommended her. So... this may be unfair, but it would pay off in the end.
