AN: hello! I'm a bit late and I'm sorry about that! Just been a bit busy but I'm back (hopefully) so here we go!
It was dark out, both Todoroki and Kirishima stood outside of the hospital, staring intently at the doors, hoping Yaoyorozu had made a decision. Both of them had asked Yaoyorozu to make a new receiver and she had asked for some time to think it over. So, here they stood, waiting on her.
"I wonder what Yaoyorozu decided." Kirishima said, breaking the silence between the two.
"No matter how much we wanna go after him, it's her choice." At that, the doors opened, a familiar classmate walking towards them with an intense look on her face. Behind her was Midoriya, also ready to help out.
"Midoriya..." Todoroki murmured. Both Yaoyorozu and Midoriya stopped in front of Kirishima and Todoroki, ready to tell them what they'd decided.
"So, how about it? You decide?" Kirishima asked and Yaoyorozu opened her mouth to speak.
"I think that-"
"Hold on." The group gasped and turned to face yet another person, Iida.
"Iida..." Kirishima muttered.
"Why are you here?" Midoriya asked, quietly. Iida seemed pretty upset- no, upset was an understatement.
"You. Why did it have to be you two of all people." Iida said, referring to Todoroki and Midoriya. "The ones who stopped me when I acted recklessly. Who received amnesty with me after Hosu. Why are you trying to make the same stupid mistake I made? Didn't you learn? (L/N) almost lost her life, wasn't that enough? Now you want to go ahead and risk your own? Without the warriors?"
"What are you talking about?" Kirishima asked, but was stopped by Todoroki who placed a hand on his shoulder.
(If your choice is Kirishima, then he said nothing since he knows what happened)
"We're still just students," Iida continued. "And UA's in a bad position as it is. Anything we do will reflect on our school! Don't you get that?"
"Iida, we have to," Midoriya said, walking towards him. "I know you don't like breaking rules, but--" Midoriya was cut off when Iida's fist made contact with his face. The entire group was shocked, Yaoyorozu, Todoroki, and Kirishima stared with wide eyes.
"I'm frustrated, too! And concerned. Obviously! I'm the class rep, dammit! I'm worried about all my classmates, not just Bakugou! When I saw your injuries, all I could think of was my brother in the hospital. What if your bodies end up irreparable just like his, because I didn't step in?! Have you not stopped you think about where I'm coming from?!" Iida took Midoriya's shoulders, who was still frozen with shock. "Or are you saying that you don't care how I feel?"
"Of course I do," Midoriya's voice came through.
"Iida," Todoroki tried. "You've got it wrong. We don't expect to face them head-on and win. We'll get him back without fighting."
"Yeah, we'll be stealthy. I'm talking covert ops here. We can rescue him without breaking the rules." Kirishima added.
"I trust in Todoroki's judgment, but... still. Things could always go wrong. So I'll join you as backup. I'll stand behind my classmates." Yaoyorozu declared.
"You can't be serious," Iida added, shocked.
"You're the best!" Kirishima smiled.
"I know I'm hurt," Midoriya's voice drew them back in. "But if I can still move at all, then I can't just sit still. I have to reach out and do something. Cuz all I can think about is saving him."
