His legs turned to jelly, the closer he got to Seokjin's room. The man was awake, eating some applesauce in a small plastic cup, with a few honey gram crackers that were right beside his food tray.

He saw how the man was struggling to reach for a few of the food items which remained unopened in the tray, so he slowly approached him with a heaviness in his chest.

Namjoon didn't know how to break out the news. His lips were quivering at the thought of explaining to Seokjin what had happened to his brother. He knew how close the two used to be to each other, and feared Seokjin's mental health might end up distraught with the news of Hyunseok's passing.

"Seokjin, It's Namjoon. I'm here, now." While walking up to the man, Namjoon remained indecisive about telling him the truth or waiting to tell him.

"Oh, good! Listen, Namjoon.... Can I ask you a favor?" Seokjin felt Namjoon's arm and intertwined his hand into the younger's, craving his warm touch.

"Anything... What favor?" Namjoon cleared his throat, holding back his pain and sorrow.

"Reach for my phone. It's in one of my pockets- O... Ow..." Seokjin paused when his body started to ache. "My jean pockets, I mean." Namjoon did as the older man requested, and grabbed a hold of his phone.

"I got it."

"Thanks... Now, I know he's in the waiting room, but I can't bare to face him right now." Regret trailed off of the older man's lips as he referred to his brother when talking about "him".

But Namjoon didn't get the memo, and wondered what Seokjin meant.

"Who... Who's in the waiting room, Jin?" His heart began to race, the more he spoke to Seokjin, wanting nothing more than to avoid reaching a single topic about Hyunseok.

When Seokjin said this, "My brother, of course. I wanna fix things with him." Namjoon felt a shortness of breath reach the top of his throat, slowly suffocating him.

"Your brother...?" He spoke, gripping tightly onto Seokjin's phone.

"Yes. Him and I got into a fight... That's why I fell down the stairs in the first place. I was silently listening to your conversation with him and leaned over too far." Seokjin spoke.

He continued to explain everything, until he moved onto a more sensitive subject: His experience in Heaven.

"You know... Out of all the things your father told me when I died, there's only one full sentence I can remember. Mainly because it sort of frightened me a little bit." Namjoon got closer to Seokjin.

"What did he say, Seokjin." He stood only a few inches away from the older to give him enough space to talk.

Seokjin stared into the distance, feeling his eyes glistening while telling Namjoon what his father said to him.

"He said, "In order to resuscitate one life, another must be taken." after I begged him to let me live... And he granted my wish. But, I'm scared. What innocent life could have been taken in order for me to be here..." Seokjin's eyes widened when he heard a sob escape Namjoon's mouth.

"Namjoon? What happened?" He looked to his side, worried about his lover.

"Nothing. Nothing's wrong." The younger insisted, while handing Seokjin his phone. The older man felt the device in his hand, and sighed.
