"Find a comfy spot already." Steve mumbled as Tony moved everywhere on the couch. The two shared a plaid blanket, obviously made for ONE person. However, after much arguing, Tony convinced Steve to share one- Even if it was insane to Steve. I mean, there's another blanket RIGHT THERE.
The fire in the fireplace warmed the surrounding area as the snow began to fall outside the windows. Tony had made hot chocolate, which was resting on the table infront of them. Finally, Tony leaned against Steve, practically burying himself under the blonde as he got comfy. "There." He murmured, wearing a small smile. "This will do."
Steve rolled his eyes playfully, placing an arm around him. "What happened to the 'dont touch me or I'll rip you to shreds' Tony I know so well?" He teased, which only earned a light chuckle from Tony. "I'm cold," He admitted. "And you're warm. Perfect combo." He hummed, peaking his head out from beneath the blanket. "I didn't expect it to snow in New York." He groaned.
"It's the north. What else did you expect? It always snows." Steve blinked. "Or do you just not pay attention?" Tony shrugged. "I dunno. Most of the time this season I spend in my lab, cooped up away from everyone."
Steve tilted his head lightly. "Why's that?" He questioned. Tony breathed out. "Well, I never really celebrated Christmas. My family was never around, blame my dad for that one. The great Howard Stark never took a break, believe it or not." He mocked sarcastically. "Anyways- This holiday season bizz just reminds me of something I never had. It's like birthday's- I don't celebrate them for obvious reasons. It's just not for me." He kept his gaze away from Steve's, who looked down at him.
"If it makes you feel better, neither have I." Steve perked up. "I mean, it's nothing compared to you, but my mother was a hard worker. She loved me and all, and she took care of me, but we never had time for anything like that. It was always her coming home, keeping a smile on her face, cooking dinner, then going to bed. It was a set routine, but it worked." Steve hummed. "So, when birthdays or holiday's rolled around, the max we would do was have a somewhat good dinner. Nothing special, but it was perfect at the same time." Steve smiled lightly at the memories.
"So, in a way, we can learn this new holiday stuff together." He noted, making Tony look up and chuckle softly. "You know, you always find a way to cheer me up." He hummed, relaxing against the blonde. "Yeah, I guess we can. Judging by our living room- I say we're doing a pretty good job at it." He pointed out. "We got the decoration part down."
Steve nodded, holding Tony closer to him. "Yeah. I say we're doing pretty good." He breathed out. There was a moment of sweet silence before they heard a bark.
Tony's eyes widened, and before he could protest, Sargeant jumped ontop of them both, joining in the cuddles. Tony groaned.
"Moment ruined."
