It's almost midnight and I have school tomorrow but this idea just popped into my head so I need to write it before I forgetttttt

"Hi, welcome to Furever Pets! How can I help you?" Patton Hart said absentmindedly. He had said the same words multiple times a day, five days a week, almost every week, for the past 3 years. He started to think those two simple sentences would be engrained in his brain for the rest of his life.
"Hi, I need assistance with pet food and some other necessities." A teen boy said.
Patton looked up at this boy. He looked right about Pattons age, and he was quite handsome, in his opinion.
His features were sharp and angular, his black rectangular glasses looked clean (as glasses can be) and he dressed like a college professor.
Patton was flustered by this boy, to say the least.
"H-hi. Yes. Pet food. What kind?" He accidentally knocked over a cup but tried to play it off.
"A rat. I need rat food." The boy said, looking around the shop awkwardly.
Furever Pets was a locally owned little pet store in the middle of a random neighborhood in Florida. The owners knew most of their customers, and their entire life story. It was a cute little place, but had so much animal supplies , it was a little bit overwhelming.
"Yeah! I can help with that!" Patton got up from his chair, ready to escort this very handsome young man to the rat section.
"So, im assuming you have a rat?" Patton tried to make conversation.
"Yes. His name is Roscuro. Like, from The Tale of Despereaux." The other flushed a little bit.
"I love that book! You know, I've never seen you here before. Is this your first time coming in?" Patton asked, knowing he would have definitely remembered if a boy this attractive went to the store.
"Well, I just moved here from Colorado. I used to live here, when I was a kindergartener and first grader, and then I moved away. But I'm back here." He explained.
"My name is Logan, by the way." He added afterward.
"I'm Patton! Nice to meet you!" The boys shook hands.
Patton helped Logan find the food he needed, and Logan paid and left. Average.
"ROMAN MCKNIGHT COME HERE RIGHT NOW!" Patton yelled to his coworker, and best friend.
Roman soon emerged from the back room.
Roman was tall and muscular, with big brown eyes and braces.
"Yes..." He laughed. When Patton yells, it's always something good. Unless he sees a spider.
"I may or may not have just met the love of my life." Patton revealed, blushing deeply.
"Oh, wow. Okay. How did this happen in the 15 minutes I was back there getting food shipments?" Roman responded, a mix of amused and confused.
"Well, this hot hot hot hot hot boy walked in here. He was about our age and his name was Logan. He was so hot. Did I mention that? We talked and he just moved here from Colorado. So, that means that we have the potential to go to the same school!" He rambled to his best friend, imagining ideal situations in his head.
"Calm down, lover boy. So, this 'hot' boy walks in, and all of a sudden you become this super sappy and imaginative mush of human?" Roman made fun of his best friend.
"Don't act like you never act like that around a boy."
"Nope. I'm too cool."
Just then, the bell on the door rang, signaling someone had walked in.
The two looked up at the same time. Roman blushed and shoved Patton under the check out counter, playing it off as if he was just leaning his arm on it and missed. Which, for the record, also kind of embarrassing.
"Hi Virgil! The usual?" He greeted, clearly having met this boy previously.
"Yes, please." Virgil responded. His voice was deep and rough.
"Right this way!" Roman flushed as red as his varsity jacket.
While the two boys were picking out bugs, the kind spiders eat, Patton peeked at the boy Roman freaked out about.
The first thing he noticed was the height difference. It was drastic. Roman towered over the other boy by at least 4 inches.
Next, this boy was skinny, and emo. He had on makeup, which was applied quite well, and a purple patchwork jacket.
Then, Patton looked back at his best friend. He was flustered beyond belief.
"Ah. So that's Romans type." Patton thought to himself, smirking. He was so getting crap for this once Virgil leaves.
"Alright! That will be $20.50. You know what, I'll give you a coupon. A favorite customer coupon." Roman said, still flushed and lovesick.
After that horrible flirting attempt, Roman also fumbled with the cash register he had no troubles with half an hour prior. At this point, Patton, who was still under the counter, let out a tiny snort-like laugh.
Which earned him a discreet, yet moderately painful kick in the thigh.
"Thanks Princey! See you in a couple weeks." Virgil thanked Roman after paying, and he left.
Patton jumped up.
"What was that about not getting sappy and flustered around cute boys?" He laughed.
"Shut up." Roman smiled, face un-redding.
"Who is that?!" Patton yelled, not satisfied by the lack of information he received.
"Nobody. He's just a boy with a spider who I happen to find a little bit cute." His face was red once more.
"A little cute? Boy, your face was redder than you're bedroom walls when we were 8." His best friend laughed.
"Oh my god shut up!" Roman yelled through laughter.
