Chapter 17: The Plan

BETHANY'S POV:

We spent the whole day at the beach. It was nice to spend the day with my fam...... And Lux.

When we got home, we were all pretty tried.... they were I was okay. I had to get ready for my secret date with Connor..... Time for the plan!

We got it the house, Lux went home and now it was me, mom and my dad. I looked at my phone, it was 6:29pm. Connor was picking me up at 7:30pm. Time for the plan to go into action.

"I'm really tried, I think I'm going to go to bed early." I said with a fake yawn.

"Okay sweetheart. I think I'm going to bed too." my mom yawned.

"Me too" my dad added. " Night Bethany" he yawned.

They walked upstairs to their room, and I walked into mine.

I walked in my room and close the door. I looked at me clock, 6:30pm, an hour till Connor comes.

I walked into my closet and picked out my outfit. I picked out a light yellow strapless dress and some nude sandals and a light grey cardigan. and for my jewelry, a necklace with 3 medium white flowers. I put it on minus the shoes. And started with my make up.

I still had a little bit of make up on from the beach, so I fix it up a bit and reapply mascara.

By the time I was done it was 7:21pm. I texted Connor to tell him I'm done.

CONNOR'S POV:

I was getting ready when I got a text from Bethany. Please hope she didn't change her mind.

Bethany: I'm ready!
Oh thank god she still wants to come!

Connor: ok I'm ready too b there soon.

I got my wallet and keys and left.

BETHANY'S POV:

Connor was coming, now time for the next part of the plan, getting out without my parents knowing.

First I took some pillows and put them under my covers on my bed, to make it look like I'm sleeping. Just in case they check on me or I don't get back on time.

The next part of my plan was to go through my house and go through the back door.

I wrapped a blanket around me and opened my door. My parents light was off. I walked downstairs with my shoes, my small purse and some pyjamas in my hands, under the blanket. I got to the back door and put the pyjamas in the coat closet, then texted Connor.

CONNOR'S POV:

I was almost at Bethany's house, when she texted me. I couldn't text text her back cause I was driving, so I pulled over a few houses down from hers, like she told me to do. Then answer the text.

Bethany: r u here yet?

Connor: yes just pulled up and few houses down

Bethany: ok b there soon

BETHANY'S POV:

I sent my text and then took the blanket off and put it in the coat closet with my pyjamas.

I opened the door slowly, then walked through it slowly. I locked the door behind me and hoped this plan would work.

I walked through my backyard and I looked up at my window and my parents and my parents' light was on!!!!

Oh no so close! Do I keep going and just get in trouble? Maybe one of them are just going the bathroom! Maybe one of them knocked over something and they needed to pick it up!

All my thoughts disappear when their light turned off. I released the air I was holding in and keep going till I got the gate. I unlocked the gate and went through.

I walked down the street and saw Connor. He saw me and got out of the car and walked to the other side and opened the door. I smiled and walked over.

"Hi" I said once he got in the car.
"Hi" he reply. then he smiled then I smiled.

"So where are we going?" I asked.

"You'll see" he said with a grin.
