BETHANY'S POV:
"Okay, so I know you just landed, but there is a firework beach party tomorrow night and....... Do you want to come with me? please! there will be cute boys!" Lux said as we sat in the car, on the way back to my house.
"Oh okay,fine!" I said. I never liked going to parties with Lux, she would always ditch me for some guy and I would end up calling my mom, to come and pick me up.
"Yay!!!! you are the best!!!" Lux said clapping her hands together. And then hugging me.
We finally got back to my parents house, well mine but yeah.
We got inside. Walked in my old room. It looked the same as I left it except for some boxes, which my mom came in and cleared out.
I wanted to talk to Lux for a bit but I was soooooo tired. Cause I could sleep on the plane do to the kid kicking my seat. I told her that I was really tired. Then she left and I told her I'd text her later.
The next day
I woke up to the smell of pancakes. I totally forgot I was back in my old room at my parents' house. I rolled over and look at my alarm clock. 12:22pm!!!! Wow haven't sleep in for a long time. I got out of bed and grab my phone off the deck, then walked downstairs.
"Good morning sleepy head." Lux said.
"Lux? what are you doing here?" I said.
"I came over to help you get ready, and your mom told me you were not up. So I sat down." Lux explained.
"Pancakes? Beth." my mom said to me.
"Yes please! and what party?" I said forgetting about the beach party I agreed to go to.
"The fireworks beach party!" Lux said handing me the syrup.
"Oh yeah, I forgot." I said pouring the syrup on my pancakes. "What time?"
"6:30" Lux said.
We ate our pancakes, then walked back up to my room. We hang out for a bit then walked to Lux's house (which was a cross the street)
"Oh my god! Bethany I haven't seen u in so long! how was New York?" Lux's mother said as we walked in the house.
The question I was hoping no one would ask "how was New York?" lonely, loud, busy.....
"Umm.........good." I said. "good" why did I say that. It wasn't good. "fine" maybe but not good!
"Good, good we are going to have to have you over something for dinner, so you can tell us all about it." Lux's mom said.
Oh crap! now what am I going say about New York?
We walked upstairs, and got her outfit. then walked back to my house.
