Can you hold my hand
Like you did when you were ten?
Can you hide my wine
Like you did at nine
Can fix my frame
Like you tried at eight?
Can you paint my nails uneven
Exactly like those at seven?
Do you want me to buy you those chips
The ones that you liked at six?
I want to see you smile wide
You used to do at five
Are you still fond of those chores?
As you were at four?
Do you still serve the tea?
Like you used to at three?
Is you favourite colour still blue?
Like you dress i bought you at two?
Are you having fun?
Hiding away and not coming out?
Like you once did at one?
But now you can,
It's your Dad,
And he's scared of all the miseries,
That without you,
Are to began.________
