17. If I Die

19 3 1

If I die,
would you think for me?
Would you let go of the laughter
And for once, weep for me?

Would you reminisce the old memories?
Good or bad;
Would my touch make you freeze?
Or would you rather leave?

Would you sit by me?
And tell me how much you love me
Or would you just forget my love
that has been buried for centuries?

Would you look at my things?
and try again to find the string-
or would you just cut it?
And throw it?

Would you yell at the world for not caring?
Or hit yourself for not believing?
Would you hate me for leaving-
Or to fate, you'd give in?

If I die,
would you then think of the girl,
that stood in the corner,
And watched you looking at other shiny pearl.

Would you then tell me my worth?
Or just toss me away with a whirl?
Would you remember our love?
That, like a stranger's name, you forgot.

Would you think about me-
when you'd sleep,
And miss my warmth?
and grieve?

Would you love me?
Like I loved you?
Tell me for death is colouring me,
like a black hue.

If I die,
Would you finally see me?
See the girl who died,
just to make "you" and "I", "we".
