Siva’s P.O.V

It’s been a couple of hours since I spoke to Krystal and I’m starting to worry. She said she was going to the gas station to ask where she was… I hope she didn’t get kidnapped again! “What’s wrong Seev?” Max asked. “Nothing.” I said. “Look mate, we’ve known each other long enough. I can tell that you’re lying so spill.” He said furrowing his eyebrows. I sighed, “It’s nearly been an hour since I last spoke to Krystal. She said she’d call me back once she found out where she is, but I haven’t heard from her!” I felt tears prick my eyes but I held them back. Look mate, I’m sure she’s okay.” He reassured. I nodded my head. “Siva? Max?” We looked over to where the voice came from. “NATHAN!” We shouted in unison. “W-what happened?” He croaked. “You had a very bad asthma attack. We were worried about you Nath.” I responded. His eyes widened. “Where’s Krystal?!” He panicked.

“Whoa, calm down Nathan, we don’t want you to stress. It’s what caused the asthma attack. Krystal—“ I cut Max off. I didn’t want to tell Nathan she escaped because I don’t want him to worry any more than this. I guess I’ll tell him when the time is right. “Still not here. Krystal is still not here. We haven’t gotten anything from the police.” I sighed. Max gave me a questioning look. I gave him a look which basically said ‘I’ll explain later.’ He nodded his head. Nathan sunk back into his bed and looked into his lap while twirling his thumbs around.

“Don’t worry mate, we’ll find her—“ “No! Stop saying that! I’m totally sick of it! Every day it’s ‘oh, mate we’ll find her’ or ‘oh, don’t worry, she’s strong.’ Well how do you know that?! How do you know if she’s dead somewhere in the place she’s in?!” He shouted. I looked at him with widened eyes. I can’t believe he just said that! “So what, you’re giving up on her now?” I questioned, tears threatening to spill out of my eyes. “No, Siva—“ I cut him off. “Save it.” I said, and walked out of the room. I know he had just recovered, but I couldn’t deal with this right now. I just needed some time to think.

Max’s P.O.V

I can’t believe that Nathan had just said that! Was he giving up on her? No, he couldn’t! This is his girlfriend we’re talking about! “Max, you have to understand! I didn’t mean it!” He said. “I know mate, but that was totally uncalled for.” I replied. “I-I’m sorry.” He sniffled. I looked around to see if Siva was anywhere in the area. “Okay, look. Don’t say anything after I tell you this okay?” He nodded. “And also, don’t get angry, or stress anymore.” I added. He stayed silent while I continued. “Siva lied when he told you that Adam still has Krystal. She escaped. We don’t know where she is still, but Siva’s expecting a call from her.” His eyes widened and filled with tears. “Why didn’t he tell me?” He whispered.

“Because he didn’t want to put you under any more stress. Like I said before, the doctor said it was the cause of your asthma attack.” I explained. He nodded his head as I gave him a comforting hug. “I’m going to get the doctor and tell him you’re awake okay?” I said. “Okay.” He replied, but before I could walk out of the room, the doctor walked in…. How weird.

“Ahh, I see you’ve woken up Mr. Sykes.” The doctor said. “Please, call me Nathan.” He smiled. “Alright Nathan, now that you’re awake, we’re going to run a few tests on you. Is that alright?” He asked. Nathan nodded his head. “Want me to step out?” I asked. “Yes please. I’ll inform you after the testing. It shouldn’t take long though.” He smiled. “Okay, thanks doc.” I said and walked out of the room. “How is he?” Tom asked as he and Jay were walking back from the cafeteria. “He’s awake now.” I said. “Really? Can we see him?” Jay asked. “Yeah, but not now though. The doctor’s doing some tests on him.” “Where’s Siva?” Tom then asked. Gosh! All of these questions! “Oh… Er.. He and Nathan had a tiny argument and stormed out of the room. I think he went to get fresh air.” I explained.
