I Want to Change

Hey! Oki here!

So last time, I left on a cliffhanger, with Malik wanting to change his ways.

Anyways, I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh!, or the characters, but I own my OC's, and the plot of this story, so please don't steal!

Marik's POV

I want to change my ways. Malik said, firmly.

I was shocked. When did he ever want to change? Was it because of (y/n)?

I'm sorry, what?

I want to change my ways. I don't... I don't understand it, but I want to change. I may not know how, but I don't want to kill anymore. My murderous intent has... vanished, I suppose. Heh, I guess (y/n) was more of an influence on me than I might have thought at first.

Really? Did she realy convince you to change?

I... I think so. I feel... well, less insane. Like some of my sanity has returned.

Wow... you know, (y/n) has quite the strange power... not where she can control fire, or transform into a giant fox, but her power... I think that she has the power to change others. For the better.

I guess so...

Malik's voice disappeared from my head as I opened my eyes, wondering if he had really been convinced. I hope... I hope that (y/n) could help.

(y/n)'s POV

I sat on the stool, playing some of my favorite songs on the piano, like Silhouette, or River Flows in You. They were works of art in my opinion. They were beautiful!

I still wondered about what Malik said, about how he didn't know what to do, and how he was so alone. I felt kind of sorry for him. I played the piano quietly, and when I stopped, and put my piano books away. I had too much on my mind.

My ears twitched, and I sighed. Both Marik and Malik were so relatable, except for Malik's murderous instinct- that, I did NOT relate to. I shuddered at the thought.

Then, I remembered at cafè not far from my house. It was a tea shop, with cakes and pastries. I wanted to see how its cuisine might taste, so I locked up my house, and went out, with my bag.

Soon, I reached the cafè, which was called Cookie's Tea Shop. I was assuming that the manager or boss's name is Cookie. I walked in, to see a well- decorated place, with quaint tables and counters. I smiled, and sat down. I noticed that Ryou was here, drinking some matchi tea.

"Hey, Ryou!" I greeted him.

"Oh, hello, (y/n)."

My face fell slightly. "Um... Ryou, I know this might sound like a strange question, but how and when did Bakura try to change?"

He grinned. "Oh, that old question. Yes, I get that quite a bit. Well, I saw past his arrogant side, and saw myself, alone, and scared. We're honestly quite alike. He just deals with his anxiety and self- issues differently. I drink tea, and talk it out. He actually goes out and drinks a bit, and takes it out on others to make himself feel better. Does that help answer your question?"

"Yeah, thanks, Ryou. You were a big help."

I looked at the menu, and decided to order some peppermint tea, and some flower tea cakes. In a few minutes, they were served to me, and when I took a sip, it tasted delicious! It really was good. I paid for my meal, and went home.

To my surprise, Marik was there, crossing his arms, and glaring at Tèa... wait, what?
I snuck over behind some of the bushes, and listened.

"C'mon, Marik! Don't be such a prune!" Tèa begged.
