Hey! It's your girl Oki!

So, as the title suggests, Malik is trying to figure out how to make friends and be nice to people. Not sure how that's going to turn out. Anyways, I do not own
Yu-Gi-Oh! Or any of its characters, but I do own the OC's and the plot, so please don't steal!

Malik's POV

"So, I have to be nice to people, and I have to try not to lose my temper? Is that it?" I asked, not sure how this friendship thing works.

"Um, actually, there's more to it than that..." (y/n) explained, "You have to get to know them, and learn about what they like doing- maybe they like doing some things that you like to do. Then, you can invite them over for an activity of sorts, just, not uh.... murdering someone... Sorry, but I have to be blunt...

I quite liked it when she was all shy, and sweet, though I was very confused, myself, since I almost never felt emotions like that.

"Um, (y/n), what do you call it when you feel oddly warm... and fuzzy inside?"

"Oh that. You feel happy. It's a pleasnt feeling, let me tell ya that!" She grinned, making my heart skip a beat.

I put my hand over my chest and smiled. Maybe... maybe I can change... If I can... just a little... then maybe I can...

My thoughts were interupted by Marik nudging my shoulder. "See, Malik? You're starting to get the hang of it! You know, for once, I'm proud of you. This proves that pretty much anyone can change, see?"

"Okay. Wait, 'for once'?"

"Yeah... sorry... I haven't been very proud of the crazy things you did, so I'm saying it like that. I'm proud of you because you want to change your ways. So, get it now?"

I nodded, turning my attention back to (y/n).

"That's so sweet! Oh, uh, don't mind that previous comment, heh heh!" She gulped, waving her hands in front of her. "Anyways, I'd like you to experience a few things first-hand, so tomorrow, on Sunday, you can hang out with the gang! You know, all our friemds! But first, try talking to Ishizu. I'll go with you, to make sure she doesn't throw you off a cliff." (y/n) chuckled.

"Wait, Ishizu might do that?!!" I yelped.

"No, but she's gonna be really confused and maybe upset, so I'm going with you two, to explain about what happened." Marik sieghed.

I agreed with her and Marik, and decided to talk to Ishizu. When Marik, (y/n) and I were on her doorstep, she gasped at the sight of me, and immediately growled at me.

"WAIT!!" (y/n) cried. "He wants to change, and I split them apart with like, five restrictions on him, so please don't throw him off a cliff, he wants to change his ways!!"

"What?" Ishizu grumbled.

"He wants to change..." (y/n) said in a softer tone of voice.

Ishizu sighed, and invited us in.

I took off my shoes, and sat quietly on the couch, hugging my knees while (y/n) and Marik were explaining everything to Ishizu. I pondered on what would happen.

I decided to listen to what they were saying.

"So, let me get this straight-" Ishizu groaned. "YOU split them apart, because Marik said he wanted to change. So then, you put restrictions on him, like Malik being unable to fight in lrder to hurt someone, or if he gets out of hand, he can simply be recalled back into Marik? Is that what you're saying?"

"Yep, pretty much." Marik summarized.

I turned my attention back to my thoughts. I wondered what would happen to me if Ishizu decided that I was still my evil self- if I was an evil psychopath once, I can be that 'me' again. There's always that chance... I sighed.

Then, Ishizu turned to me. I raised my head attentively, and looked her in the eye.

"Listen, Malik, I may be a little skeptical, but if (y/n) and Marik say that you want to change, no matter how improbable that might be, I am... relatively willing... to give you a chance..." she whispered the last part, but I heard it well.

She was reluctant, but willing.

I nodded affirmatively.

"Now then I'll discuss the rules, for you and for both you and Marik. First off.... ... ... ..."

I listened to every word, and nodded when she expected me to. I wanted to change, and at least try to make a friend. No matter how hard it was.

(y/n)'s POV

I looked over at Malik, and smiled. He was acting... nicer. I looked at Marik, and he too was smiling.

"Hey, Marik..." I murmured

"Yeah? What is it?"

"Can we invite him to our winter camping trip? You know, so that he could get to know everyone better."

"I don't see why not!" Marik grinned.

I nodded, and looked at Malik and Ishizu. They were just about finished, since Malik said that he understod every word of it.

I stood, and thanked Ishizu, and she said that he was in good hands. I had the odd feeling, though, that she would be lecturing him quite a bit.

When I arrived home, I plopped down on my bed, and went to sleep, finally getting some rest.

Timeskip, Monday

I woke up this morning, and got ready. I decided to wear my contacts today. I slipped on my t-shirt, and my jeans. I put on my grey hoodie, the one with a cat embroidered on the back.

I put on my white sneakers, grabbed my bag, and dashed off to school.

I sat down in my desk, and drew as usual.

"Good morning, class!" Mr. Brooks announced. "Today, we have another new student!"

I was so shocked to see Malik at the front of the classroom.

"Hello, everyone. I am Malik Ishtar."

Hey, so how's the chapter?

Marik: Awesome as usual.

Malik: Not bad.

Oki: I know I said that I wouldn't update until Monday, but I have to today because my parents are going to be home tomorrow. Plus, I got grounded, so they are suspicious of everything. So, I'm putting this on hiatus until about December 28th. I will keep writing when I can, like when I finish a project early at school, or when it's like, midnight. Sorry, fans, but I must in order to conceal myself from the wrath of my parents.

See you soon! If my parents don't catch me!
