" babe, were home" my husband, Gerard States, gently nudging me from my sleep. My eyes flutter open and I smile, gazing into his gorgeous eyes. I stretch and unbuckle my seatbelt, as he rushes around the car to beat me to the door handle. " such a gentleman " I say , as I take his hand, helping me out of the car. We then move to the backseat to retrieve our new family members. Our twins, one boy, Skylar and one girl, Starlet, who are both sleeping beautifully in their carriers.
We make our way to the door and he hands me Star's carrier for just a second, so he can open the door. " go ahead and sit here " he states, gesturing to the couch, as he sets our daughters carrier on the floor in front of my feet, next to her brother. I slowly sit, still sore from my past days activities. " I'll get the stuff" he informs me, heading back out to the car. I lean back on the couch to relax when I'm startled by a loud noise, but quickly calm myself when I hear a familiar voice cursing from upstairs.
You see, the twins wernt expected for another month, but apparently they have their father's impatience and decided to join us early, leaving us with an unfinished nursery. So, for the past few days, Uncle Mikey has been working non-stop to complete the room. Gee was helping for the past few months, but neither of them would let me in. I can't wait to see it.
I unclip my babies and carry them carefully up the stairs. " Mike? You alright?" I ask as I reach the top of the staircase. " I'm fine" he answers " wait, don't come in" he continues as he rushes to close the door before I can peak inside. " Y/N, what are you doing?" I hear Gee ask from behind me. " getting banned from my children's room" I answer, smiling as he takes our son into his arms. We hear a slight rustling noise from behind the door, before Mike speaks.
" close your eyes" he instructs us " both of you"
"Mike?" Gee whines in protest. " just humor me" Mikey argues. " okay, they're closed " I state in an annoyed tone. I hear the door softly drag across the carpeted floor, before I feel Mikey's hand grab my arm, gently leading me forward. I soon hear Gerard being usured in behind me. " okay, open!" Mikey says excitedly.
I do as he says, and when I do, I am amazed at what I see.The walls are a pale blue with a large rainbow painted across the far wall. There are two round cribs, both painted black, with bright blankets and stuffed bears in them.
" oh Mike, I love it" I choke out through the tears, that are trickling from my eyes. He simply smiles and pulls in for a hug, careful of my daughter, sleeping in my arms. " it was nothing" he says, simply, before pulling away. " Yeah, bro, this is amazing " Gee speaks up, walking past us, further in the room, to show it off to our son, who is now awake, in his arms. " whatcha think, Sky ? Uncle Mike do a good job?" I ask, as I walk up and place a kiss on the sweet baby's forehead, causing Gee to pout " where's my kiss" he whines, jokingly. I chuckle lightly, " I'm so sorry, I forgot the other baby" I joke back as I place my lips on his.

We turn to see Mikey, holding his phone and smirking at us. " first family photo?" We both nod and Gee wraps his free arm around my shoulder, as the camera flashes. A cry suddenly breaks the silence of the moment and I look down toward my daughter. " hey there, what's the matter?" Gee ask, although she can't answer. " oh, it's okay, Star. " I coo at her, making my way to the rocking chair " is it time to eat?" I ask, unbuttoning my top to feed her. " oooh, mealtime, can I watch?" My husband ask, smugly. I sigh and roll my eyes. " help me out here" I beg to Mikey, who grabs my husband, pushing him out the door. " oh, come on" , I chuckle again at him, before turning my attention to my hungry baby.
" eat up, baby KILLJOY!!!! "
