I am 13 years old, born on May 12, 2006. That makes me a Taurus, as well as my mom, who's birthday is May 13th.
I live with my mom, my two sisters, Taylor (10) and Kalyssa (20), and my dogs Nala and Ricco. I also have a 26 year old brother whom I only refer to as Bubby, and his wife. He is in the Air Force and lives in a different state than us.
I like to paint, though I can't say I'm very good at it.
I am on a roller derby team, and that is one of the best things in my life. It is in all female team, as is my league, so you can say I love girl power. My whole family (my mom, me, and my sisters) play, we're just on different teams. It's a great outlet as most sports are to get out my anger, and it's a great community in which I've created a lot of friends who help me through my depression.
In April this year I was diagnosed with a condition called myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME). It's a no cure/ no treatment condition that gives me headaches, nausea, low blood pressure, muscle aches (even if I haven't been active) and other health issues. It's not life threating, but life altering.
In the beginning, my doctor wanted to just call me crazy and depressed because my father was bi-polar (he later committed suicide when I was 6). ME actually used to be a mental condition and was called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, even though it is very physical.
Long story short, we switched doctors and got the diagnoses. I no longer go to school, but my new doctor is very good about everything and has put together a team who are trying to help me.
Because of this, and a few other things, my mental health goes up and down. I was depressed for a very long time after I had to stop going to school, but am doing better. Like I said, it goes up and down, but I'm working on it.
I have a tutor who comes to my house twice a week to teach my the lessons that everyone in school is learning. I'm still on my roller derby team, and I'm just trying my best to be a normal teenager with this condition.
