Bee (writer)

Hi! I'm Bee and I'm one of the new admins! You can call me Bee, Mint, Abby, Lumi I don't really mind. I think there's another Abby, spelt Abi though, so maybe call me Bee/Lumi to avoid confusion. :)

I'm 14 years old and, long story short, I'm British born Chinese. I can understand Cantonese but I can't speak it very well and my Mandarin is non-existent. I love food (except croissants and donuts kinda, which people find weird) and nothing, and I say NOTHING, can stand in between me and sweet and sour pork.

*drools*

I love reading, writing and drawing. I tend to draw anime characters and sometimes kpop artists too, as you may know from my instagram @theweebsideto.art. Some of my favourite authors are: Marissa Meyer, Cassandra Clare, Sarah Maas, Katherine McGee and more!

I recently got into kdramas and my favourite one so far is Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. An Min-Hyuk is so precious!! 🥺🥺🥺 And when he fangirled after she sent that video ahhhhh~

I also watch cdramas, including Meteor Garden, Accidentally in Love and now, A Little Thing Called First Love. Tbh, I prefer kdramas over cdramas, but watching cdramas in the only reason my mum lets me keep Netflix, since she learnt Chinese by watching Chinese dramas. This is called survival tactics, folks, but I don't really mind. Some cdramas are relatable as potato!

I've been a Miraculous Ladybug fan since Oct 2016 (according to my diary from year 6) and I run the LadyBlog on my main  (expect loads of fangirling XD).

My favourite actors are Noah Centineo, Lana Candor and Shen Yue (so far), my favourite colour is yellow and I'm a hopeless romantic. Post 10PM (and sometimes, even earlier), I act really high and that's what I call Loony Hour. Like if you ask any of my friends what I said/did at 2AM 🙈🙈

I've played piano since I was 5/6 and though I'm supposed to be working on diploma repertoire, I much rather go play drama OSTs, kpop and anime on the piano. And apparently, according to last Loony Hour, the Peppa pig theme tune on the violin (which I've learnt on and off since I was 8 - on and off because we went through at least 5 different teachers). I like the violin though. When I finally bought my full size, I had just finished watching Your Lie in April so I went ahead and called the violin Kaori and the bow Kousei. Cuddling violins are nice.

I'm really weird and I say sigh instead of sighing. I seem antisocial and shy in real life but once you've gotten to know me, you'll probably know I'm weird, hyper, funny and just...idk weird. My humour is not necessarily PG just wanted to warn you guys. 

In case you guys are wondering why I'm here, I wanted to join SGC because of the following reasons:

1. I love giving advice and helping people, from maths homework to friendship drama.

2. I've had/ got OCD, anxiety, depression and I know how to treat these certain feelings because of these experiences. 

3. I like meeting new people.

4. I've been bullied a lot (from age 8 until now) and been through loads of friendship problems before. I've had my best friend participate in cyberbullying and was part of the bullying thing with half of the class where they liked to break and hide my stuff (not fun). I've had so-called friends tell me I'm 80% invisible, no one's gonna employ me because I suck and that I'm going to live on the streets. I strongly disagree with that. If anyone ever says anything like that to you guys, know that they're WRONG and you MATTER! Because everyone was born for a reason. :) 

I've been fat-shamed, verbally and physically abused and yeah, it's been a hard life, but I don't wish it didn't happen, because when my friends come to me for advice (which happens a lot because they like to say I'm a good therapist for some reason), it turns out they're going through similar situations and I know how to deal with them because I've been through it myself. (Wow that was a long sentence XD) I know the pain, I know it hurts and I know it's so so hard. But I've survived and I want you guys to know that you're never alone. And it does get better, I promise. :)
