As I turn on the TV
mediocrity staring at me.
Smiling,
Laughing,
Filing wins away,
After every car racing by
Tantalizing your eyes.

After every lady
Hypnotizing you to buy more
Spend more
Go to the club more

Life's too hollow
To sit at home,

And you know this
But it doesn't stop you from buying that
Thing you don't need or
Show off the item no body wanted till you got it.

Tell me does it fill it
Does it fill the constant craving for ... what ever your looking for.
Or does it just drop you even further in to  the chair.
Hoping you don't go mad in it.

That it doesn't matter if it becomes your daily routine.
Your doing it for something
Your doing it to go somewhere
That most people can only get to on their off days

Or He's soft some days
But she can't wait
So they go online hoping that it's not fake.

Yet it is....
So it's nothing left to do
But pace their way through routines
That till a couple years ago were fun

Were everything and more
Only to come to the conclusion now something is missing

Now she's slipping
Now he doesn't buy anything anymore
She blames me more
He doesn't listen anymore
They did this shit all before..

Only difference between then and now
Is now the pieces that seemed to be together; have multiplied into insane numbers and shifted into positions that you tried but couldn't achieve.

You tried to get back to where we used to be
But Children needed us
The college keeps hounding us
Taxes.... need I say more

However, Understand that was one more road traveled.
One more case solved.
In the end of it all
When the split becomes permanent,
And your looking for some stuff to do
Just remember. You might be /ˈem(p)tē/.

So this marks the first of 10 on this project! I'm debating on add more but they'll probably be saved for the new year. Tell me what y'all think. Also has anyone notice anything new on my profile 👀
