/məˈnajərē,məˈnaZHərē/
noun
1 a collection of wild animals kept in captivity for exhibition.Look at this....
This showcase of the sub species called artist.
Always present, but forever hard to find,
The humble ones anyways .They've came back from extinction one to many times now,
But always flourish in the most unexpected places.
Almost like beauty made in the middle of a Battle Field
Always fleeting, Always fading , but at least we know it excess.Their lineage spans back centuries
Always there to endure the storm
Like all those that came before
Ready to go through a war if necessary
With pen,
With paper,
With frame,
With camera.
They fight the front that we dare not go.
Dare not think of going,
In fear of being an out cast or worse. But I rather be them, than another number stamped on to another paper .
Organized to make your fate rest in their hands.Placed in a zoos for your entertainment
"Greater you want, the greater you will have" they told them.
Yet their labor wasn't enough to meet the scale.Something about a tail light being out?
By that 90's the light turned into a window turned ,
into door ,
into fire ,
Into something like a gap .Pushing the difference between architect & artist further apart.
All the while watching as slavery jabs it's way into the very meaning of their being.Debt rising.
Like global warming is in full affect!Hearts breaking.
For loved ones lost in streets,
That could never love them back ,
But tried anyway .
What else should they do to past the time.Waste away in alley ways .
Filled with the Poor's last days .
Serounded by children that will never know life.Bargain your soul every day ,
In a 9 to 5 that could never pay you back
Even if they tried.
Grinding to your dying days
Determined not to return home.A failure
Among the many as well as the few
In this /məˈnajərē/ where no one could understand me but me.
A king among the talented & the over looked.
