Indecisive.
That's the word Jo O'Conner uses to describe herself the most.
An indecisive, unruly, completely reckless, overly passionate, incredibly dismissive teenager in the town of Kensington, Maryland. A teenager who, much like the rest, would prefer it if her parents would just leave her alone to make her own choices. A girl who honestly really wishes everything in her life would be easy for once.
Like that would ever happen.
As she finally faces her senior year of highschool, Jo finds life to be harder than ever. Nowhere near as easy as it was promised to be, senior year begins tugging her in all different directions.
As do her best friends.
Ocie Carter, the boy who Jo has lived next door to literally since birth, has decided now would be the perfect time to confess his feelings for her. Which, seeing as how he's the school's golden boy and by far the hottest guy on campus, makes Jo swoon.
But he isn't the only one with a newly proclaimed infatuation.
Jean Burke, the girl who moved into the house on the opposite side of Jo in middle school, is now also fighting for her attention. Being Brookewood High's residential bad girl, she has all the guys and girls wanting her, including Jo.
In the middle of a drastic, and slightly irritating, game of tug of war, Jo finds herself torn between the two most important people in her life. Of all the students at Brookewood High, the two most popular people just had to fall for Jo. The entire situation only makes the teenage girl replay that inane word over and over in her mind.
Indecisive.
