Chapter 7

JENNIE'S POV

I am just walking around, killing time this afternoon. I don't want to stay in my room and do nothing so I told Jisoo that I'll go out for a walk.

As I am walking aimlessly, I suddenly bumped into someone. And surprise, surprise! It's none other than Lisa Manoban.

She dragged me to drink with her although she's already drunk. And what shooked me the most is that she dragged me into the cemetery to drink!!

Never in my life I have imagined myself to do this. I'm an easily scared person specially to this kind of thing. That is why I never tried going into a horror house or even watch a horror film.

But then, I remembered that today is the death anniversary of her Mom so I just let her be and tried to be brave. I was taken aback with her words regarding the living and the dead which I find her logic to be true.

As we enter a beautiful mausoleum, she suddenly spoke to my surprise.

"I'm back, Mom. And guess what? We have a guest." She said pertaining her Mom.

"It will be scary if she suddenly answer, you know?" I told her and she burst out laughing.

"If she happens to answer, I'll be more than glad to hear her voice again." She said then I saw sadness again in her eyes.

"I'm sorry." I said then lowered my head.

"Don't be. At least I had my first laugh of the day. Come on, let's drink." She said then opened the bottle and drink straight in it. I just watch her as she drinks.

"I'm sorry, I didn't have glass for I did not expect company tonight." She said again when she noticed that I just watched her drink.

"I'm not a hard drinker. I only drink cocktails so I don't think I can drink it." I told her.

"Come on! Don't be a killjoy. Just try it. It tastes good." She said while giving me the bottle to drink.

I sighed and just accepted it for I don't really have a choice. I drink and in just one gulp, I felt my throat burning.

"Yah! This one is so strong! I can't drink it!" I whinned at her that earned another laugh from her.

"It's because it's your first time to drink it. But you will like the taste as we drink more." She said while smilling but her eyes are still kinda sad.

I had no choice but to drink it whenever Lisa is handing over the bottle to me. But she drinks more than me so it's still favors me.

As the time pass by, Jennie is getting drunk and so was Lisa. Then, their talking became personal as Lisa asked the question she's been avoiding ever since she moved to Seoul from Busan.

"So, why did you move here and transferred school? Don't you miss your friends there?" Lisa asked. Maybe, because of alcohol, Jennie managed to share her story.

"I don't have many friends. I only got Miyeon, Yeri and Joy. Yes, I missed them but I need to get out of there. There's to many memories I don't want to remember." I said then grabbed the bottle to drink.
