"I'm gonna do it tonight!" Richie said proudly but nervously. His father was coming into town, he and Richies mother split up a while back so Richie didn't get to see him much.
"Good for you Rich, I hope it goes well" Eddie smiled. Richie was going to come out to his dad, he didn't want to hide it when his mother knew, it was bound to come out at some point so Richie wanted his dad to hear it from him.  He was also going to introduce him to Eddie before coming out so when he did and he told his dad that he and Eddie had started dating, maybe he would be more comfortable with it.

Richie waited beside the Paul Bunyan statue with Eddie.

RICHIES POV

A car pulled up and I saw my dad coming out of it. I ran over and gave him a hug smiling. I hadn't seen him in so long, he looked so different but I could still tell it was him.

EDDIES POV

I had never seen this soft side of Richie, but it made him even cuter than I thought he was before. His dad looked so happy to see him and the same with Richie... I was really nervous tho, I hadn't met him before. When Richies mom found out about us I was nowhere near as nervous because I'd known him forever, this was different, his dad was a lot more scary and I had also forgot my pills so that made things feel worse.

NOBODIES POV

"Um dad this is Eddie! He's my boyf - boy best friend." Richie smiled a little.
"H-hi sir" Eddie said nervously.
"Is he always this serious and nervous?" Richies dad asked.
"No he just forgot his pills, he's a weirdo without them" Richie laughed a little.
"Well it's nice to meet you Eddie" his father smiled at him and shook his hand.

NOBODIES POV

It had been a few hours since Richies Dad arrived and they were having fun, even Eddie managed to have fun without his pills, and he could definitely see where Richie got his humer. Eddie left to buy some food and go to the bathroom, Richie decided it was time to tell his dad, it was now or never right?

RICHIES POV

"Dad.. I have to tell you something.." I felt my face burning up as I went red and I started to get a little sweaty. "Sure bud what's up?" He looked at me a little concerned, I think he knew something was up. "So um the truth is... Eddie isn't my best friend, or well he is but he's also my b-boy friend... because I like g-guys" I felt myself tear up, I don't know why I cared so much if he accepted it or not I never saw him anyway. But for some reason it did, it really mattered. "You mean your... gay?"
