"Oh for God's sakes, Mr. Storm! If you don't keep your eyes open and focus, I'll make you stand for the rest of class."
That was what snapped me out of my own slumber, and I blinked repeatedly to stay awake. God, physics has to be one of the most boring classes in the universe.
I looked behind me at our teacher's latest target: Lukah. I had three classes with the kid, and in every single one, the teachers had yelled at him for falling asleep.
"Maybe he stayed up all night thinking of new ways to start a fight," a girl behind me whispered, and another one giggled. I set my chin back down onto my folded arms, already dozing off again--I couldn't help it. I'd been up all night last night crying.
I know I shouldn't have cried over some creep who I've never even met. But I did anyway. See, Amira? This is why you're supposed to make people earn your trust, you clingy bitch.
