13| perfect together

After confessing our feelings for one another, both me and Tanjirou grew closer. Zenitsu, although he was jealous, supported us. Nezuko was extremely supportive as long as Tanjirou was happy. Inosuke didn't really know what to say except for congratulating us. Mitsuri, showed more emotion, saying how she knew we were going to be together and flattered us with other things. At the moment, we were both in the garden to look around a bit more.

"(Y/n)!" Tanjirou called my name.

I turned to look at him and he smiled as he placed something on my head before giving me a quick kiss on the lips. I reached up and touch whatever was on my head to feel something that felt like flower petals. It was a flower crown.

"Thank you!" I smiled at him and his face turned slightly red as he chuckled.

"You're so cute..." He smiled and held my hand in his as we both walked side by side.

I giggled. "And so are you!"

My heart was fluttering, but also felt painful knowing that this love we created for ourselves could hurt everyone, and he knew that too, so we both took it easy until everything was over with Muzan.

"A-Are you okay, (y/n)?" Tanjirou looked at me with a worried face, walking slower in case something was wrong with me.

"I'm just thinking about something." I smiled at him. "Don't worry too much about it since it's not that important."

I could tell he wasn't sure about my response, but kept a smile on his face to not cause any concern. Although I wasn't trying much, Tanjirou flooded me with compliments throughout the day, causing my face to warm up every time as I wasn't used to receiving compliments.

"Wow~! That was amazing, (Y/n)!" Tanjirou exclaimed as I set my sword back in it's holder after cutting a big gourd that one of the butterfly girls had brought out that needed to be cut in half.

"I-It was nothing that special..." I rubbed my nape as my face grew hot in embarrassment.

"Yeah, but you cut it straight in half! It would've taken me days to get it perfectly in half like that!"

"T-Tanjirou, please stop with the compliments for a while..."

"C-Compliments?"

"Y-Yeah..." I said and sat next to him on the patio. "Your compliments keep making my heart go crazy and I'm embarrassed every time as I'm not used to receiving so many..."

"I-I could stop if you're uncomfortable!" He said in a panicked voice. "I never meant for it to be embarrassing and I-I don't really know how to act as a good boyfriend since th-this is my first relationship after all..."

"I-It's mine as well, but we should slow down our relationship and calm down with the compliments..." I giggled nervously and caressed his cheek in my palm. "We still have time for our relationship to grow, so let's take our time together..."

"R-Right..." He smiled, his face growing warm in my hand.

My heart ached from how cute he looked, to the point that I had to hide my burning face in his chest as he laughed cutely, stroking my hair gently.
