Chapter 28.

Chapter 28
third person POV
After a minute of resuscitation the baby boy started turning pink and a nurse gave calum a thumbs up and said she thought he would be ok. About a minute later he started crying.

Calum POV

I had not been able to see what was going on between my baby boy and the doctors , but to hear a cry was pure bliss to my ears.

They started a massive blood transfusion on becky , but she kept just was bleeding it out. For four hours they tried to get the bleeding to stop, unsuccessfully.

Rebecca POV
A nurse came up to me and told me , ''Rebecca sweetheart you need to concentrate as hard as you can to make my blood clot..-''

They periodically came out to tell my family that things didn't look good, they couldn't get me to stop bleeding, didn't think I would survive. They let Calum come back to see me. I was on the table, eyes taped shut, a white sheet over me.

''The kids are being taken care of... You gotta stay strong Becky okay ? Look I know its been rough between us and i've been an asshole but I need you to know All of us love you and need you... I need you Becky.''.

''...Is James okay?'' I gasped

'' The doctor said his cord was around his shoulder several times. I guess it pulled tight as you was pushing him out... he's fine now don't worry.''

Then he sang "Bad dreams" to me i seemed to have forgotten everything at that moment it was just me and Calum in a room it felt like old times, and after he had to leave the room to allow me to rest while the doctors figure things out.

Calum P.O.V

I was worried sick I didn't know what was going on , I was forced out of the room so they could help Rebecca. I was a nervous wreck... at the end of the day this girl is still my wife and I do love her. I can't imagine life without her im scared enough with having the responsibility of being a father I can't bring them up on my own I can't even look after myself properly.

Not too long after that, they came out one nurse walking up to me

''Is she alright... Whats happening? Whats going on? I need to know please tell me'' My mind was jumbled

'Rebecca is not responding to us well we need your consent to do a hysterectomy as a last attempt at saving her life.'' I agreed, of course.

''What do you mean saving her life?''

''We need an answer Mr Hood.''

''Yeah of course but whats going o-' before i finished the nurse disappeared and back into the room.

Rebecca

5 hours later (a total of 9 hours in the OR), after a massive 100+ unit blood transfusion, I was sent to the ICU. Still bleeding, they were not sure yet if I would survive.

The next memory I have is waking up trying to pull the breathing tube out of my throat. Then I'm out again. Next I remember them taking the breathing tube out, and finally I remember waking up to my Mom & Ana on either side of me, holding my hand, crying. I had no idea what had happened, that it was 2 days later, that I had a hysterectomy. I noticed that I had blood on my hospital bracelet and around my toenails. It was everywhere.

I learned that while I was sedated, I was trying to communicate. Ana got me some paper and a pen and I wrote "where's my baby".

The nurse that was watching over me was amazed. I continued to write... "want to breastfeed", "I can breastfeed laying down", "neck pain when swallow"... I wanted my babies so bad. I didn't get to see him or her until they were 8 days old. Mum brought them up to see me she said she wanted to give Calum some rest.

I recovered at an amazing pace, going home after just 8 days.

Ana had picked me up that day I was going home. I opened the door to my apartment , Ana helping me with my bags. I looked around following the noises of baby cries , and the soft voice of my mother singing 'you are my sunshine' (what she used to sing to me when i was younger'

''Rebecca!!'' She called smiling , giving me a big hug.

I looked around the room noticing Sophia , Michael and Ashton. Sophia was holding one of the babies , Ashton held another and Michael was tending to his own children.

''Guys...'' I said

''Look Becky i told you we're not going to leave you on your own.'' Sophia smiled walking over to me and giving me a hug.

''...Wheres Calum?'' I sighed running a hand through my brunette hair , Everyone looked at each other all speechless and thats where it clicked he was gone.

''Right... I could of guessed.''

''Its not like that Bec , '' Ashton spoke up , all eyes were on him.

''Go on...''

''He has been with them since the day they were born , he wouldn't let anybody else near them...the first night. He wanted to do everything... We , Mum helped him learn the basics he has been there day and night with them... I know it doesn't look like it and it looks shady but believe me Rebecca. He isn't exactly on my good books now is he I wouldn't lie.''

''So where is he?'' . Silence

''Gone'' all eyes were now on Sophia

''She has to know!.'' she exclaimed

''Know what?'' I questioned

''He's gone back... back to America , back to-''

''Her.'' I finished the tension is palpable, you can feel it. Its thick in the air... I knew it would happen.

Okay I didn't know it would happen. I had thoughts but i never thought Calum would go through with it. It made me smile knowing he looked after them while i was gone but angered me that he left to go to the other siide of the world for that that that... SLUT! I closed my eyes and walked out of the room , my mother followed.

After getting everything sorted out at the apartment everyone eventually began to leave , Ana had offered to stay around for awhile just to make sure I was okay. I told her i was fine about twenty times but she wouldn't budge. I guess that is what best friends are for.

I had finally put Rosalie to bed , she was defiantly a screamer. Mum said she had a close bond with Calum concidering this is her first night without him I can understand. I walked into the living room sitting beside Ana letting out a deep breathe.

''Okay now tell me why you're really here.'' I looked at Ana her eyes widened

''I did something bad Becky...''

Chapter filler basically. Im going to update tomorrow and maybe if you're lucky
