Chapter 34

Rebecca POV

''Becky I should really take you to the hospital'' Calum says.

We've been sitting in the same spot on the floor for about 20 minutes. I cry and shake my head , I didnt want to move and be reminded of the pain Logan had caused me. Calums face is sad and he nods holding me to his chest and kissing my cheek.

''No please.'' I sob quietly. The tears just wont stop its been a horrible long night and I feel pathetic for feeling this way.

''At least let me take you to bed ... not in that way.'' he half laughs then his face falls noticing my tears.

He places his hand on the side of my face causing me to flinch he apologized and wiped the tears from under my eyes. He helped me up and took me towards my bedroom he sat me down on the bed then disappeared into the bathroom.

When he came back he told me the shower was on and that he would wait here until I was done. I nodded and thanked him and walked into the bathroom. Slipping out of my dress and underwear I gasped as the hot water touched my damage skin. The water stung as it hit the gash above my eye , I washed my hair and body then got out. Grabbing the towel and wrapping it around my waist. I grabbed the brush from the side and looked into the mirror almost forgetting about everything. A small gasp escaped my busted lip as I stared at myself in the mirror.

This was not me. I had bruises from my shoulder up my neck , my wrist had a red mark from Logans tight grip. My lip was busted and scabbed over I had a gash above my right eyebrow. My hand ungripped the hairbrush making it land in the sink with a cling. I couldn't help but cry at my appearance I looked terrible. I ran my fingers through my hair pulling it harshly and crying harder.

''Rebecca?'' Calum called. I couldn't answer I just couldn't.

''Becky are you okay in there?'' He pushed open the door and his face fell as his eyes met mine. Walking over to me he took my hand helping me up and walking me to my bedroom , he placed a kiss on my head and sighed.

''This is all my fault.'' he mumbled

''What?'' I choked

''If I hadn't of done what I did... with Pia. I -... You wouldn't be in this situation.'' he sighed as he began helping me change.

''Please dont blame yourself.'' I whispered , he looked up at me in doubt and began to protest.

''Please.'' I repeated. With another sigh he nodded and pulled back the covers on the bed , I climbed in ,Calum tucked me in and kissed my head delicately.

''He doesn't have a key to this place does he?'' Calum asked rubbing the back of his neck. I shook my head burying myself under the covers.

''Alright well I'll just be on the sofa ... If you need me.'' he said making his way out of the room

''Calum"

''Yeah?'' he asked turning around just before he walked out of the door.

''Stay with me please?'' I muttered

''Look Rebecca I dont want to take advantage of you in the fragile state.'' he said honestly.

''Please.' I said desperately. He nodded walking over to his side-... the other side of the bed and got under the covers. I readjusted myself slightly so I could face him , he did the same and we were face to face just watching each other.

''I really am sorry this had to happen to you...'' he whispered breaking the silence.

''Its okay.'' I replied.

''Go to sleep beautiful you're safe now.''

I woke up by the noise. Looking over at Calum he was sound asleep , I followed the loud noises that would sure wake up the twins in a minute if it didn't stop. I walked into the kitchen and looked outside the blinds gasping as the police siren lights shined through the room. Calum didn't ring the police did he? I know what Logan had done was wrong but I dont want to anger him further with the police.

''Rebecca!?'' Calum shouted , he sighed in relief as he saw me. Calum came close wrapping his arms around me and kissing my head.

''I ... I thought he - I woke up and-... I. ,'' He seemed worked up and scared?

''Im fine.'' I reassured. ''Did you call the police?'' I asked

''What? No I've been asleep.'' He said looking outside the window. ''It could of been one of the neighbours.'' he said.

''Come on lets go back to bed.'' Calum said I nodded and took his hand as he led us back to bed.

''Calum...''

''Yeah?''

''Are you awake?''

''No Im sleep talking?'' he joked I could sense the smile in his voice.

''Shut up.'' I half laughed , turning on the lamp.

''I love your smile.'' he said honestly but something about the way his eyes widened told me that was supposed to stay in his head. I blushed then hid under the covers giggling.

''Don't hide from me.'' He said ducking his head under the covers. His face was very close ... we were almost touching ; Calum leaned in his lips brushing mine

''I...Are you still with Pia?'' the words spilled out fast

''No...I ended it the night I came back here.'' and with that answer my lips were on his and his were on mine.
