Chapter 12: A Possibility... A Chance...

Sadness. Grief. Anger. Rage. This was what many of the students who knew Rachel felt when they found out about her sudden death. Revenge. This was sworn by some of the students who was close to her. Depression. Felt not only by Harry, but also by Richard.

Richard can be considered as a very loyal student to the Academy, but, his anger made him do things against orders. He removed the Curse from a student who is being punished, he offered help in avenging Rachel's death. Indeed, the young man seemed like he didn't care even a bit for the clone. But, there's more than what meets the eye. Richard also cared for Rachel. It took a lot from him to help Rachel escape from Melvin and Natalia, and it definitely took guts to ask Luna for a cloning stone. But, everything was for nothing. He wasn't able to help his clone, instead, he was part of the reason she's dead.

Wandering around the Academy might have been a good way to keep his mind off of things. He began to think through things and gradually calm down. That was, until, he saw Nathan running towards the deep part of the forest. "Nathan?! Impossible! They already used Magic on Nathan and decided to keep Natalia." he told himself. Richard decided to follow Nathan and in his mind, puzzle pieces began to fit.

Puzzle pieces fitting together was not something pleasant for Richard. Because, he realized something that wasn't very favorable, after what had happened to Rachel. If what he thought of was true, he might not forgive Nathan, Melissa or Luna because it would be totally unforgivable.

Richard continued to follow Nathan, going deeper and deeper into the forest, until Nathan stopped in front of a hut. Richard watched as Nathan went in and then came out, seemingly holding an unconscious girl in his arms, which he realized when he took a closer look, was Natalia!

In his rage, as soon as Natalia was set down to the ground, Richard charged and grabbed Nathan by the collar. "THE HELL!" he shouted at the boy. "How come you or Natalia gets to live?! But Rachel gets to die?!" Richard was so mad that he just shouted and shouted at Nathan, but the boy kept silent the whole time, until Natalia woke up. "Richard! It's not his fault!" Richard glared at her and tried to attack her, but Nathan stopped him. "She has no Magic!" he told him. RIchard stopped at his tracks, "The original Natalia was stolen by Melvin, but I was created first. I created a second Natalia, but, I made her without a Magic." Nathan explained. Richard took a few steps back in surprise, "WHY DOES SHE GET TO LIVE?!" he shouted at the two in rage and Natalia grew silent. Richard left angrily and went to search for Luna in rage.

It took a long time for Richard to find Luna. But, when Luna caught sight of the angry Richard, she didn't run, instead, tears rolled down her face. "I'm sorry! I... I didn't want Rachel to die! We... We needed to remove the clones so that Principal wouldn't be able to use them against us!" she cried out. "It still doesn't change the fact that you were the one who caused her death!" Richard shouted at her angrily. Luna grew silent and whispered, "There is a way... A way to bring her back." "THERE IS NO WAY TO BRING HER BACK! SHE'S DEAD AND YOU KNOW IT!" Richard shouted back. "You make another clone with the memories she had. Then, it would be like she came back to life." Luna said in a soft voice.
