Chapter 3: The Promise

Rachel had managed to buy a couple of Girls' School Uniforms and was also given a room in the Girls' Dormitories. But she was still frustrated over what had happened to her. Only a gay would be glad to turn into a girl, and she was definitely not gay.

Her thoughts had swayed in her mind as she continued on with her duties until she came across one of their class teachers, Luna Kline. Luna and Richard were close and Richard would call her "Luna" because she was mostly seen in her 10-year old form, like now.

"Hey Luna," Rachel said casually, forgetting that she was actually a girl now.

"W-w-who?" Luna asked nervously.

"Oh yeah. Drop the act, Luna. It's me Richard." she sighed.

"Who's Richard? Where's Ysabel?" Luna asked.

Richard gasped and remembered who Ysabel was, she was Luna's childhood friend and Luna claimed to be betrayed by her. And the reason she is looking for Ysabel now is a mystery.

"Why don't you come with me?" Rachel kindly asked.

But, before she could even reach the young girl, she had ran off.

Rachel had started to chase Luna and the chase went on for a bit of time. She thought it was impossible to catch up, until, Luna fainted.

"Oh yeah, you have a weak body cause of your Magic," Rachel whispered as she carried the girl and took her to the Girls' Dormitories.

Hours had passed before Luna regained consciousness, and already a lot had come to visit her. But, a surprising turn of events occurred in Rachel's room.

Luna tried to stay away while crying and kept on asking where Ysabel was.

"Ysabel has left the school a long time ago," Rachel explained truthfully.

"She..... She betrayed me. She promised me she'll never leave me alone, but she did!" Luna cried.

Rachel thought it was quite weird for Luna to be crying, because all she had was hatred in her heart, because of Ysabel's betrayal.

"Luna, how old are you and how long have you been in the Academy?" Rachel asked.

And the answer Luna gave had surprised Rachel.

"I'm ten years old and I think I've been in here for five to six years," Luna said calmly.

Rachel knew that Luna had already been in the Academy since she was five and now, Luna was 22 years old, but she is in her 10 year old form.

"Alright....... Any idea on what happened to you before I found you?" Rachel tried to ask as calmly as she could.

"I think I hit my head on something hard, since it was bleeding before you found me," Luna said as she took her seat on the bed and tried to not be scared of Rachel.

"U-Uhm." Luna said to catch the older girl's attention.

"Yes?" Rachel answered.

"You won't ever leave me alone right? You won't betray me?" Luna asked Rachel with tears in her eyes.

These statements had surprised the girl for she didn't expect to ever hear these words from Luna.

"Alright. I promise to not leave you alone nor betray you. In addition, I also promise to protect you and keep you safe," Rachel promised with a little smile.

And crying because of happiness, Luna hugged Rachel which surprised the girl as well.

And with a pat on the head, Rachel had asked Luna to take a rest as she might recover better that way.

That night, Rachel kept on thinking about various things, especially how Luna lost her memories.
